Of the 6 people I know locally who have had it so far this fall, 2 have become seriously ill requiring breathing treatments and other medicines in addition to Tamiflu. All 6 had Tamiflu within 48 hours of developing symptoms.
And: there are reports of people getting H1N1 more than once. When they do, the second time is often more serious than the first.
While it hasn't been serious for most people, that isn't the case for everyone, and there doesn't seem to be a foolproof way to know how badly it will effect any given person.
eating raw onion, beet juice, mixed with 3 pellets of rabbit do..do, and facing east, throw an avacado over your shoulder, and say Hail Obama...works about as good.
