Have “they” ever made the connection that perhaps the longer school day and the cessation of recess may perhaps have something to do with the sedentary lifestyle and the increase of obesity? Lots and lots of homework equals a whole heck of a lot of time indoors. I haven’t noticed that an increase in work load results in greater intelligence in the students either.

Get the kids outdoors and moving around. That will do more for the obesity problem.

Cessation of recess??? For real???? Why in the world would schools want to not let kids out for recess?

Don’t worry, the Prez is going to put the kiddies in school year round! (Take that, you whiney ObamaYouth! You wanted the “first Nanny president” to take care of you? Shut up and get your butt back in the classroom. Summer vacation? YOU don’t get no damn SUMMER VACATION! It’s GOOD FOR YOU!)
