Why do you think Obama said, “America does not accept the legitimacy of continued Israeli settlements.” Of course, its more Obama who really opposes the new settlements, not America. Obama, President of the World and now, anti-Semite to boot.
Good point about the settlements, but I was referring to Israel’s need to come to a decision — on their own — to deal with a very real and potentially lethal situation. This requires decisive leadership that Netanyahu, at least to this point, has not publicly and effectively demonstrated from my perspective. But you are correct: I think the Israeli leadership — although not saying so openly — has concluded they cannot count on American support with the current administration.
