"You lie? No. Barack Obama doesn't lie. He's too subtle for that. He . . . well, you judge.
Herewith three examples within a single speech -- the now-famous Obama-Wilson "you lie" address to Congress on health care -- of Obama's relationship with truth."

Victor Davis Hanson is the best. Krauthammer is a prisoner of the Beltway.
Almost nothing Obama says is actually true. This is in itself a remarkable thing. Most people can be trusted to tell the truth about most things even if they lie about something that is for them a delicate problem.
Not Obama. Scratch the surface on almost any statement he makes and you find the ground shifting under your feet and the landscape turns out to be a painted backdrop.
The night Wilson called him a liar, he talked all night, accused his opponents of lying incessantly, and almost nothing he himself said was actually true. There is a point at which lying is so constant that it becomes willful delusion. His followers mostly know its not true but they also will themselves to share in the delusion. Someone called it magical thinking, and it is. And they get really mad if you spoil the moment for them by dragging mere facts into the matter.
I didn’t know Obama lied until I heard him tell the truth once.
This is indeed Bam's Achilles heel, and it is now exposed. He does not tell the truth. When Slick lied, times were good and his lies were not all that serious (for the most part). Bam lies about things pretty important to many folks such as health care/their livelihood and the economy is not quite so good as the late 1990s.
IMHO he has breached the trust with much of the electorate that voted for him. He will have a very difficult time recovering that trust. Furthermore, he does not even appear to realize people do not trust what he says anymore, he just keeps saying the same thing.
Soon they will start laughing at him because no one could be this foolish as to continue saying what he says when it is clearly not true. That is when he will be dangerous, like most narcissists, he cannot stand to be laughed at.

Bill Clinton was the best politician of the 20th century.
Like Obama, he was a very gifted liar. Unlike Obama, he had a natural likability about him.
I have said that Clinton is the type of guy that you could see watching a game with on TV while plowing through hotwings and a bunch of nachos. You would never introduce him to your sister, but he would be funny and personable.
Obama would be so boring to hang out with. All conversation would be about him and it would be a fairly uncomfortable time overall.
All the time. That is all he knows how to do.
