The tens of thousands of protesters marched to the U.S. Capitol chanting various slogans and waving posters that voiced a rather broad array of grievances against big government and the leaders, particularly President Obama, who the protesters blame for its size and scope.

Just my opinion!
As a visitor to Washington DC with many of my FRiends on Saturday, I have been frustrated at the response, even by FoxNews. Keep the faith!
MSNBC is also saying “hundreds of thousands”. The problem was that the only semi official count was from the DC fire department who said “over 75,000” so all the media outlets, except MSNBC, went went with it.
Yes...hell froze over-LOL
There’s really no reason why there can’t be a reasonable estimate. There were aerial views from helicopters- that should be sufficient. Why aren’t those photos being released?
It doesn’t matter how many people anyone “says” were there, we just have to look at the pictures to know! This is the biggest thing to hit Washington in a long time. They can try to marginalize it, but pictures don’t lie. Great job to all who attended!
Well I’m stll in DC at a hotel and the USA Today didn’t even have a story in Monday’s paper regarding the event.
I just had breakfast with a local who is an attorney and he said that he was not there but saw the events on TV and said that it was in his opinion over 1,000,000 and as crowded as the January Obama crowning.
We all were. ? Were there 1 million + ?
i am hearing 10s of thousands only...maybe beck will say it
We’re in serious danger of having our message get lost in all of the bickering about numbers....
but police guessed more and i believe homeland security has a head couunt
3 had heard of ACORN, and none had heard of the scandals.
I asked if they knew about the "crowds" in DC on Saturday protesting the "Big Government" doctrines and principles?
The ALL said NO! There were three who admitted to voting for Zero.
The MSM is doing quite a job, but for whom?
Park Police do not give estimates any more. Malkin had a mention that was actually from someone else’s twitter. If you have a link to a police estimate please share.
Homeland Security did not give an estimate. There was a quote in a British newspaper about Homeland Security saying how the crowd stretched between certain points. They put this quote just after a sentence about the “2 million” number that went back to the Malkin link. It was not from homeland security. But again, I would love to be wrong on both of these points as I have been following this pretty closely and would love to see estimates from either group.
The 9-12 DC crowd was considerably larger than Obama's Inauguration crowd, and Obama's was estimated at 1.4 Mil.
Obama 's Inaugural gathering covered the Mall from the Capitol to the Washington Monument, but did not spill over into the common (grassy lawn) around the Washington Monument.
The 9-12 crowd much more tighly packed the same mall acreage, and had over 100,000 spilling over onto the Washington Monument common at a apoint where there were still tens-of-thousands filing in to the Mall area from the street they had all just marched down.
My computer models show minimum 1.8 Mil-to-2.3 Mil maximum. Largest crowd in American History. A D.C. cop with over 20 years on the beat says he never saw anywhere near so many people.
No contest. It's easy to see why the media piss feel the need to lie about it; that is a terrifying number, especially when you consider that maybe one showed up for every 30-50 who wanted to go.
2010 is looking real good right about now... unless you're a fan of NAZI PIGLOSI.
;-/
Amtrak from Richmond to DC $35.00
Room at the Hilton $120.00
Subway to Freedom Plaza $2.85
Marching with 2 million FRiends PRICELESS
‘Why arent those photos being released?’
Release has been prohibited by Obama’s Ministry of Information - a.k.a. the MSM.
This movement is too big to fail. No stopping it now, stop with the nervous Nellie ignorata.

I was there and if someone asked me for a “no frills” bet the farm number I would have said “100,000 to 250,000”. If someone asked “i won’t laugh at you, but give me your highest guess...” I would say between 350,000 to 450,000!
We got there at 10:30 and Penn ave had a steady, packed stream of 9-12 ers walking up the 4 lane street.....for over 2 hours!!!! yes, it was a mass of people that never seemed to end!!! I was amazed..
I heard reports of 1.5 million, but I do not think that is the case. However, we were 8-9 blocks from the Capital building and I stood up on a 6’ wall and all I could see were people 8 blocks to my left and I don’t know how many blocks to my right.
I had heard Steve use the term “tens of thousands” in the 7:00 am hour, also.
I was there.
It was hundreds of thousands—no question about it.
Glad they changed the number they were using.
Size matters. Just ask any woman*. If there's a crowd in front of a shop, there's usually more heading for the front door. In this case, there is, IMHO, and intentional diminuation of the numbers, to suppress and marginalize. Then they do everything to increase Zero's constant drone. They showed massive crowd scenes on the news in a Minn. speech, and close shots for the Tea Partiers, et al.
Is there an actual aerial shot of the crowd at it's largest? I can't find it. A number of DC web cams were "unavailable" during the entire weekend. Hmmmm.
Google this "9/12 Tea Party" and check how many photos shown of Saturday's massive crowds...
I go to the July 4th fireworks about 3 out of 5 years. I have seen crowds estimated at a half million or better, that just covered the area near the Wash. Monument and the Lincoln Memorial. The safety fences keep people from getting close.
I think there were two million, or close. Plus, all across the country, the events have ignored! People need to be made aware, and the news people are hiding truth?
I keep telling myself the go get the tin foil...
(* ... and what was your first thought? )
