Sorry to disappoint, but I served with Jeff on the Board of Governors of the State Bar of California (@215,000 lawyers).
I was President and he was President-elect, but we served together for three full years.
I am a registered Republican, former Judge (Ronald Reagan appointee) and view myself as a moderate conservative.
Jeff and I voted almost identically on every issue we discussed for three years. We occaisionally disagreed as to how to word a position, but the differences were nuanced only and not policy differences.
Jeff Bleich is a wonderful human being, and Australia is lucky to have him, albeit for only three years and change.
I say that, because I believe that Obama will be a one term president based upon the many errors he has made and continues to make in his policy decisions, especially on Iran, Iraq, Israel and Palestinian issues. He criticizes our friends and kisses up to our enemies. Jeff will have his hands full trying to convince Australians that Obama is good for Australia.
But, with Jeff Bleich the man, what you see is what you get. If you are looking for dirt, look somewhere else. you won't find it on him.
Thanks for the reply, that is actually nice to hear.
Shelly is correct, Jeff Bleich is a gentleman.
HOWEVER, during the time he (Bleich) served as co-chair of Obamas national finance committee, $780,000.00 mysteriously left the Foundation of the State Bar of California.
As matters presently stand, prima facie evidence creates the appearance of a sophisticated financial scheme executed in 2008 involving Democratic party operatives James Brosnahan of Morrison & Foerster, Jeffrey Bleich , Assistant Attorney General Derek Anthony West (aka Tony West), Judy Johnson, Chris Young, as well as others to misuse the $780,000 originating from the California Bar Foundation by improperly transferring money from California Bar Foundation to Barack Obamas coffers.
