The top seven outrageous partisan falsehoods from Obama's speech
Macon County Conservative Examiner ^ | 9/10/09 | Robert Moon

Posted on 09/10/2009 7:49:07 AM PDT by aquapub

The "post-partisan" candidate for "change" has conducted his umpteenth ultra-partisan misinformation-fest on ObamaCare. The most egregious distortions and falsehoods are as follows...

7. "Unfortunately, in 34 states, 75 percent of the insurance market is controlled by five or fewer companies. In Alabama, almost 90 percent is controlled by just one company. And without competition, the price of insurance goes up and quality goes down...I just want to hold [insurance companies] accountable."

The glaringly obvious (and cost-free) solution to insurance monopolies is to eliminate the government restrictions that make them unavoidable. This is a blatantly dishonest attempt to misrepresent a clearly government-created problem as not enough government. As usual, all that is actually needed here is to simply get government out of the way.

6. " and cable talk show hosts [and] prominent politicians [have claimed] that we plan to set up panels of bureaucrats with the power to kill off senior citizens. Now, such a charge would be laughable if it weren't so cynical and irresponsible. It is a lie, plain and simple."

This is called a "straw man" fallacy. It is a tactic in which you try to exaggerate your opponent's argument so much that it begins to sound completely ridiculous, thereby making it effortless to knock down--like a straw man.

As even the Washington Post has acknowledged, the entirely legitimate concern here is with the creepy, needless involvement of a government bureaucracy--one that will, by all accounts, be desperately looking for ways to cut costs--in an area as personal and sensitive as "end-of-life" counseling.

5. "There are also those who claim that our reform efforts would insure illegal immigrants. This, too, is false. The reforms -- the reforms I'm proposing would not apply to those who are here illegally."

There is a reason Obama had to pause in the middle of this statement. Incensed at his unaccountable, continuous dishonesty, Rep. Joe Wilson (R-SC) finally broke down and shouted out, "You lie!"

As I have already proven, ObamaCare will in fact cover illegal immigrants.

4. "My health care proposal has also been attacked by some who oppose reform as a 'government takeover' of the entire health care system.

First, "some who oppose reform?" Please. This is called the "false choice" fallacy. Anyone who opposes a total government takeover must be against doing anything at all. Embarrassingly weak.

And second, Obama is on the record admitting that the single-payer system (government takeover) is in fact the goal here. Additionally, I have also recently demonstrated not only that ObamaCare will put government in charge and eliminate choice, but also that it will deliberately destroy private exchanges.

3."First, I will not sign a plan that adds one dime to our deficits -- either now or in the future. (Applause.) I will not sign it if it adds one dime to the deficit, now or in the future, period."

Two problems here. First, this is the same Barack "No Earmarks in This Bill" Obama who told us that he doesn't "like big government," swore that he would not compromise national defense by investigating the CIA, and promised that no one making less than $250,000 per year will see any tax increase "of any kind"...only to turn around and investigate the CIA, dramatically (and illegally) increase the size of government, and try to raise taxes on everything from cigarettes to health care benefits, to energy.

But beyond his endless credibility issues, there is the fact that the non-partisan Congressional Budget Office flatly contradicts him, confirming instead that ObamaCare will in fact explode the deficit.

2."...Medicare is another issue that's been subjected to demagoguery and distortion during the course of this debate...The only thing this plan would eliminate is the hundreds of billions of dollars in waste and fraud, as well as unwarranted subsidies in Medicare that go to insurance companies..."

As I have also already demonstrated, ObamaCare would absolutely gut staggering amounts...far beyond what could ever be characterized as "eliminating waste."

1. "Instead of honest debate, we've seen scare tactics...Too many have used this as an opportunity to score short-term political points...And out of this blizzard of charges and counter-charges, confusion has reigned."

Pot, meet kettle. This is coming from the same guy who hysterically vilifies insurance companies and hilariously warned us that doctors were looking to perform unnecessary surgeries on us to make more money.

Incidentally, this backwards portrayal of civilized, open, and bi-partisan Democrats innocently reaching out to their unreasonable opponents who then lash out and refuse to work together is also provably, laughably erroneous.

Democrats have not allowed their opponents to even sit in on a single meeting on this issue since April. Indeed, since the beginning, they have stripped their opponents of basic minority rights that have existed almost as long as the republic. And while selling ObamaCare as a mere cost-cutting initiative, they have refused to even mention (in over a thousand pages of text) the elephant in the room--frivolous lawsuits. Why? Because trial lawyers are huge campaign contributors to Democrats.

Who's being partisan here?

Americans do not want ObamaCare. They are overwhelmingly happy with what they have and want the one industry that still isn't failing us left alone. As I have demonstrated before, Democrats are losing this debate not because of misinformation, but because their time-disproven ideas and reprehensible tactics cannot compete on a level playing field.

8) "And if we are able to slow the growth of health care costs by just one-tenth of 1 percent each year -- one-tenth of 1 percent -- it will actually reduce the deficit by $4 trillion over the long term."

If one tenth of one percent is $4 trillion, that implies that we are spending $400 trillion in federal deficit spending on health care over that same "long term."

Seeing as the entire health care field is a $4 trillion a year industry as a whole, Zero's 'long term' must be several centuries.

WAnt to end FREE medical care to illegals? Get rid of the so-called EMTALA (42 C.F.R. § 489.24(b))

Once that is off our backs, you might be surprised how much the ‘cost’ of medical drops.

BTW, the EMTALA is how Mexicans (a Nationality, NOT a race) are bleeding hospitals in the US SOuthwest dry every day....

As noted, Governement is NOT the cure, Government is the PROBLEM. (sory for shouting, but gggrrrrrrr)

There were so many FALSEHOODS... AKA LIES, it is hard to list them all.

One of the worst (that few are talking about) is that 0bama said he represents all nurses and doctors and they all want 0bamaCare.

Would it not be far simpler and shorter to list the things that the Obamaloon read from his prompter that were true?

Far, far shorter.

The biggest lie:

“4. My health care proposal...”

Does he even really have one!? All he has is a bunch of dreams and platitudes, not a proposal. This is mighty convenient because any criticism can be shrugged of by “That’s the house bill, not Obama’s proposal.”

What amazes me is, not many people are talking or asking the question of the constitutionality of the Federal government (or State for that matter) being involved in the health care business at all.

Whether the “plan” covers “illegal aliens” or “end-of-life” counseling, "abortions", etc., is totally irrelevant. The entire “plan” is completely unconstitutional.

I can’t believe the American people are arguing over these issues without questioning the very constitutionality of this bill in the first place. I can’t believe the American people are that stupid?

Where in the enumerated powers of the constitution does it authorize this debacle or for that matter 90% of the Federal and State programs now in effect?

Article I, section 8

To make all Laws which shall be necessary and proper for carrying into Execution the foregoing Powers, and all other Powers vested by this Constitution in the Government of the United States, or in any Department or Officer thereof.

I don’t know, I don’t anything about health care reform? Maybe its in sections 9 and / or 10? Lets see.

Section. 9.

No Title of Nobility shall be granted by the United States: And no Person holding any Office of Profit or Trust under them, shall, without the Consent of the Congress, accept of any present, Emolument, Office, or Title, of any kind whatever, from any King, Prince, or foreign State.

No State shall, without the Consent of Congress, lay any Duty of Tonnage, keep Troops, or Ships of War in time of Peace, enter into any Agreement or Compact with another State, or with a foreign Power, or engage in War, unless actually invaded, or in such imminent Danger as will not admit of delay.

Uhm, I just can’t find the authorization for health care reform?

A lot of Americans don’t realize what FDR did in 1933. It was a silent coup. The sheeple unknowingly and ignorantly and without a fight surrendered to a smooth talking anti-American socialist (just like Obamarx today) that promised to give them this and that.
The American sheeple didn’t question the constitutionality of the ”New Deal“ then nor are questioning the constitutionality of Obamarx’s “health care plan” or any of his other plans.

I did however find a similar plan that was instituted a couple of years ago in a land across the ocean.

Found: Hitler’s Health care Speech to Jews

[You may not have noticed the story on April 1, 2009 about German historians finding the script to Hitler’s only speech to a Jewish community. It was an election speech given in Nuremburg, just before the 1932 elections that swept the Nazi Party into power. Below are highlights from that speech.]

My dear Jewish friends and voters, as part of my campaign for hope and change, I come to you today to ask for your votes for members of the National Socialist German Workers’ Party (but you can just call us Nazis).

First I want to make sure you know who we are. There have been many lies told about us—some from your own newspapers—so today I want to set the record straight.

Many of you question a party that’s led by me with my lack of experience as an elected official, but I assure you that I’ve had many years’ experience as a community organizer and activist, beginning with my Munich beer hall putsch in 1923.

Since then I’ve been organizing thousands of volunteers to help with community activities, such as getting out the vote, especially for oppressed, under-represented Aryans. You might recognize my volunteers by their distinctive brown shirts. (I got a good deal on some war surplus shirts, but I prefer purple.) I’ve been calling these volunteers my storm detachment (or SA), but I’ve been looking for a more environmentally friendly name—oh, something like ACORN.

I must warn you, if we Nazis are elected, we’ll inherit serious problems from our Republican predecessors. Just look at the hyperinflation caused by the Weimar Republic printing too many Reichsmarks. But we have all learned from this foolishness. I can promise you that the world will never again see such dummkoffs who’ll think they can stimulate the economy by spending their way out of a deficit. (Ach der lieber, what idiots!)

I also know many of you have heard the lies about me wanting to appoint my old friend Ludwig Müller as Reichs-bishop of a new Reichs-church. I can assure you that none of this is true. It is true that I’ve been a member of his church for the last 20 years when he often preached on White Liberation Theology, and he did help me find my Aryan identity, but I can assure you that I paid no attention to any of his messages and so he’ll have no effect on my leadership.

But this is all incidental. As I promised, we are the party of change you can believe in! That’s why I am here today—to announce to you my wunderbar new program, which you and the rest of the Fatherland will enjoy when you vote for Nazi candidates so I can become your new Chancellor. Heil!

Ja! Today I present to you my new single payer healthcare plan. I call it, “The Final Solution.”

All of you will be covered by it. Beautiful new treatment facilities will be built for you at such special locations as Auschwitz, Dachau und Buchenwald.

Nazi scientists are already working overtime on exciting new pharmaceuticals, such as Zyklon B, which has remarkable curative properties. And it’s excellent for removing lice.

If elected, we Nazis will immediately pass an economic stimulus package for new rail stations to provide you with free transportation to these state of the art healthcare facilities. Your future will truly be “shovel ready.” Ja, the world will see that universal healthcare truly provides cradle to grave care.

This final solution is such a wunderbar healthcare idea that I promise you that years from now other world leaders will be copying this same plan.

Our party’s goal is for all Germany to have a complete lives system in which its people grow with natural good health. We want all our citizens to have lives worth living for the next thousand years. Isn’t that what we all want for Germany?

But we need your votes to bring about this change. You can bet your life on that. Heil!

An except from the Palm Beach Post

By Joel Engelhardt
Palm Beach Post Editorial Writer
Thursday, August 27, 2009

"The greatest revolution which National Socialism has brought about is that it has rent asunder the veil which hid from us the knowledge that all human failures and mistakes are due to the conditions of the time and therefore can be remedied, but that there is one error which cannot be remedied once men have made it, namely the failure to recognize the importance of conserving the blood and the race free from intermixture and thereby the racial aspect and character which are God's gift and God's handiwork."

Adolf Hitler, speech before the Reichstag (legislature), Jan. 30, 1937

"For we have a choice in this country. We can accept a politics that breeds division and conflict and cynicism. We can tackle race only as spectacle - as we did in the O.J. trial - or in the wake of tragedy - as we did in the aftermath of Katrina - or as fodder for the nightly news. ... That is one option. Or, at this moment, in this election, we can come together and say, 'Not this time.' "

Sen. Obama, speech on race, Philadelphia, March 18, 2008

"It had once more become a humiliation to confess publicly that one was a German. The spirit of insubordination and of internal revolt within a few months we exterminated and destroyed. While fully respecting the essential character of our German tribes we have strengthened the authority of the Reich as the expression of the common will of our people's life and have made it supreme."

Hitler, July 13, 1934, in explaining to the Reichstag the bloody Nazi Party purge known as the Night of the Long Knives

"The arc of history shows us that governments which serve their own people survive and thrive. Governments which serve only their own power do not. Governments that represent the will of their people are far less likely to descend into failed states, to terrorize their citizens, or to wage war on others. ... As president of the United States, I will work tirelessly to protect America's security and to advance our interests. But no one nation can meet the challenges of the 21st century on its own, nor dictate its terms to the world."

President Obama addressing graduates at the New Economic School in Moscow, July 7, 2009

"The National Socialist movement has laid down the directive lines along which the state must conduct the education of the people. This education does not begin at a certain year and end at another. The development of the human being makes it necessary to take the child from the control of that small cell of social life, which is the family, and entrust his further training to the community itself. ... It is the duty of the folk-community to see that this education and higher training must always be along lines that help the community to fulfill its own task, which is the maintenance of the race and nation."

Hitler, speech before the Reichstag, Jan. 30, 1937

"So let there be no doubt: The future belongs to the nation that best educates its citizens - and my fellow Americans, we have everything we need to be that nation. We have the best universities, the most renowned scholars. We have innovative principals and passionate teachers and gifted students, and we have parents whose only priority is their child's education. ... No government policy will make any difference unless we also hold ourselves more accountable as parents."

President Obama, speech to the Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, Washington, March 10, 2009

Thank you and Sport.

It never ever ceases to amaze me how republicans and democrats (aka., republicrats) will argue back and forth over points of a bill, without first determining whether or not the bill is even constitutional to start with?

Take gun control. There's over 20,000 gun "laws" on the books. Has anyone ever asked themselves whether any of these "laws" are an infringement upon our right to keep and bear arms? I doubt it. If anyone ever really did ask that question those 20,000 "laws" wouldn't exist at all.

"A well regulated Militia being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms shall not be infringed."

It doesn't read;

...the right of the people to apply for a conceal carry permit to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed, unless this, that and every other thing big brother can think of?

If some criminal uses a gun in the commission of a crime, is it the guns fault? What if they used a ball bat, are we to pass laws requiring permits to carry ball bats?

I believe as with the health care bill and all other unconstitutional "laws" its not about protecting or helping anyone. I believe its all about control.

To destroy this once great nation and bring her down to the level of other 3ed world sh*tholes so people will become so damned dependent upon government for everything. Then the UN can step in and save us all from ourselves. Cradle to grave.

The destruction of this country began almost before the ink was dry on the first draft of the constitution. However our forefathers as with others of that period lived under a tyrannical system and wouldn't allow it to happen and dealt swiftly with anyone who tried to destroy the newly formed country.

The attempts at the destruction of these united states did not die, no it kept on going only with stealthy approaches picking apart the country bit by bit.

Those who want to destroy America know attacking her directly will rally the people to arms but, as with the frog in the pan of water, turn up the heat ever so slowly and before the frog can react, its cooked.

The war of 1812, the uncivil civil war, the 13th and 16th Amendments, The emergency War Powers Act, Trading with the enemy act (guess who the enemy is?) the New Deal, The Emergency Banking Act, the Buck Act, the Sullivan law, LBJ’s great society and the final nail in the coffin of our constitutional currency, an on an on an on with everything in between.

The new New Deal is Obamarx’s smooth talking bullsh*t and sheeple rejoice.

Some say communism is falling but, they are wrong. It never fell, it just changed its name to liberalism and moved to America. Where for the past umteen or so years it has been systematically been destroying this country from within.

George Orwell was right on the money.
