That means at least 4 filthy Republicans supported it. Disgrace!

“...she has so much faith in the American people that her confidence that this will all “turnout OK” can’t be shaken.”

She may be right, but at what price? I fear the price will be very high indeed.

John Cornyn of Texas released his hold on the nominee

What hold? Sustein couldn’t be from Texas! Any info will be good, will definately hammer Cornyn.

The bigger thing I can’t figure is why Utah keeps this limpwrist Hatch. He must have thousands of “goat” pics.

I’m confused. Whats the purpose of a vote if they dont hold any type of hearings or ask any questions?

Do some of you know the difference between a cloture vote and a vote to confirm? It doesn’t read like some do understand the difference.

He is going to be confirmed IMO with over 50 votes. There are some long time members of the Senate who do not believe a nominee of the President should be filibustered. That is what the cloture vote was on and why you see Hatch voting with the Dems.

Wait until the final vote comes out on confirming and then see who backs this guy.

When I called Cornyn's office, his staff told me that Cass Sunstein had written a "personal" letter to the senator explaining away all his published quotes......

Didn't Van Jones try that just a couple days ago, too??? :0/

I’m a little surprised by Bennett, he is up for re-election... remember he and Hatch along with the senators from WY all voted for the lands bill a few months ago that tied up millions of acres of drilling lands in the SW.

That’s the plan, joe. Zer0 & his cronies will throw as much shiite against the wall at US, but they know some will stick. Now that they have power they’ve tossed their “incrementalism” strategy & have embraced their form of “Shock & Awe.” We must keep fighting on & never surrender! Onward to DC on 9/12/2009! I’ll be there!!

Unlike Van Jones this radical is making it through the confirmation process. Sunstein needs to be outed and disgraced like Jone so this can get thrown back in the stupid senators’ faces.

Howcum Maine has to have the Twisted Sisters? Are Mainers that stupid? (Probably)

“I’m a little surprised by Bennett, he is up for re-election..”

Nothing seems to make sense these days.

Do you think that Miguel Estrada or any of Bush’s nominees deserved an up or down vote? Do you believe in truthfulness and consistency?

I’m afraid that Senator Cornyn was caught by plain ol’ Ethics 101: say what you mean, mean what you say and act on it. Senator Cornyn fought for up or down vote for President Bush’s nominees and is an honorable man.

I fear the price will be very high indeed.

There are things about this political situation that makes me more fearful than I would be in normal life. (I'm a big tough guy, you know... ;0)

But not much really worries me anywhere near as much as the political happenings going on right this minute.

Glenn Beck is both a blessing and a dark harbinger of possible bad times to come... and I can't stand to think of my sons and their (future) families living under an "American" govt as is being shaped right now.

” Howcum Maine has to have the Twisted Sisters? Are Mainers that stupid? (Probably) “

By that logic, Arkansans are geniuses, since both of their *D* Senators voted “NAY”...

But Arkansas gave us Bill Clinton.....

There must be an Aesop-like lesson in there, somewhere... ;)
