Personally why is the White House sending out a lesson plan at all, unless it is an indoctrination tool? Wanting to be sure their teachers teach the information correctly?

I dont respect this woman.
This tells us so much more about you than it tells us about Mrs. Bush, who displayed nothing but class in her eight years as First Lady of this nation. With the exception of our soldiers, and her husband, I can think of no one else who deserves the basic right of free speech more, which is a right I thought the majority of people on this site supported strongly. Shameful.

George and Laura both lost me when he called me a vigilante for wanting the borders secured.

It's all about him. The ego of all time! Obama can't even do this without the whole “my childhood in Indonesia” bit that is so so so very boring.

Laura is a RINO and so is George and his entire family! Or, that may be too kind a description of all of them.

You think all that self-aggrandizement is a good speech?
I guarantee you President Reagan wasn’t telling those schoolchildren what an awesome guy he was.

Sorry, but when the other side is shooting at you, you dont play nice. I don't that way about Laura Bush.
Must be a Texas thing.

...it is "really important for everyone to respect the President of the United States." True enough. But Øbama isn't really the POTUS. He is THE BIG LIE, through and through. I will always respect the office of the President; I will never respect Øbama.

Thank you so much for saying this! I am so sick and tired of all these Bush bashers, and now it goes even further by involving Mrs. Bush. Must be wonderful to think of oneself as perfect as these a--h----- do!

“I think that there is a PLACE for the President of the United States to talk to school children and encourage school children, and I think there are a lot of people that should do the same,” she told CNN’s Zain Verjee. “And that is encourage their own children to stay in school and to study hard and to try to achieve the dream that they have.”
I agree with her statement but capitalized PLACE.
I think, all he needed to do (if anything) was go on television and say,
Kids, have a great school year! Learn all that you can.
Be polite and respectful to your teachers and friends.
The end....
And Mr. President - never, never come into the classroom
to speak to our kids. You can save that speach for your
own kids. It sounds like a folklore anyway.

Problem is, this has never been done before, why now? It's been done before. Several times, including by GHW Bush.

Good and accurate points. I wish someone in the media would call him on these fabrications. Frankly, I think he doesn’t remember much of who was living with him and when. There seemed to be so many “fathers” coming and going.

That’ll have ‘em asleep by the third paragraph.
