Nearly a year after the presidential race came to an end, it's a subject Arizona Sen. John McCain still can't avoid: Sarah Palin.
Appearing on the Tonight Show With Conan O'Brien Wednesday, the former presidential candidate was asked, as he has been several times before, whether he was shocked Palin chose to resign her post as governor of Alaska two months ago.
"Yeah I was because she didn't call me ahead of time," McCain said to laughter in the audience. "We all have families, we all have challenges, we all have issues in our lives. She did have huge legal debts because of these [ethics] charges."

I suppose it would be rude to suggest that McCrazy join his friend Teddy for drinks?
If only Juan McCain would follow Gov. Palin’s lead.
McWuss has the need to be loved
The article doesn’t support the editorial “makes fun of Palin” remark. Was there something in the appearance not reported in the story that should be discussed?
I’m extremely sensitive to attacks on Palin and I didn’t sense any bit of that here.
It was a small joke and it was not in anyway meant to harm or disparage Palin from what I can see.
McCain is a clown.
I think he was making more fun of himself, that Palin did not consult him. The worst part of McCain’s performance was his suggesting that he might support Obama’s health care reform.
No you worthless waste of skin. The disappointment we display is over an out of control government and a lawless CONgress (including YOU)!!
"A political party cannot be all things to all people.
It must represent certain fundamental beliefs
which must not be compromised to political expediency
or simply to swell its numbers."
-- President Ronald Reagan
"We don't intend to turn the Republican Party
over to the traitors in the battle just ended.
We will have no more of those candidates who are pledged
to the same goals as our opposition and who seek our support.
Turning the Party over to the so-called moderates
wouldnt make any sense at all.""

Amazing in the same interview McCain thinks the reason people are upset about the healthcare bill is because the Rep. aren’t working more with the Dems?????
He also is “looking forward” to what Obama will have to say in his address next week? OMG! This guy is completely clueless and out of touch!
Worse. He’s an assclown.
I agree.
Agreed.
Foolish old man
John McCain would have been a horrible president and I think he would have damaged the conservative movement, whereever it is for years.
And you wonder why people hate politicians
I watched it and had no problem with anything he said. It was clear that he meant the so-called ethics charges against her were frivolous. He said “she had these charges they kept throwing over the fence at her.” I don’t think he made fun of her in anyway, shape, or form. McCain handled himself well in the face of some uncharacteristically tough but fair questions from Conan. He superbly turned a question Conan asked about whether or not death panels actually existed in the bills back on the interviewer by pointing out that what Obama had said, that all americans would be able to keep their current health insurance under his plan, pointing out that even the CBO said private insurers would go out of business under the Obama plan. In short, another great appearance that effectively communicated the republican message and showed how the democrats were cutting half the country out of the healthcare debate.
AWESOME Gipper quotes!
