Maybe high populations of native American casinos. Also, thanks to the Federal govt refusing to enforce our borders, you’ll pretty much find increasing Hispanic populations everywhere.

There is another level to that “urban v rural” mindset.
It’s “elitist v individualist”.
The urbanites either want someone to take care of them and make their decisions for them or are the “someones” that want to make decisions for others. These are of the elitist mindset.
The rural mindset is more of an individualist mindset. Leave us alone to make our own decisions, good or bad, but they are our decisions to make.
Canada wouldn’t want us. We would immediately and completely transform Canadian politics overnight.
The potential is there but the difference between Russia in 1989 and the U.S. in 2009 is that the Russians had no concept of how to quell the problem and throw out the idiots. They were a traditional population of passive lemmings. While the U.S. population has a large number of lemmings we also have a large number of people willing to take action to preserve what we have and splitting is definitely not the answer. A disturbing possibility but a different situation.
