I'm beginning to think that Republican politicians are every bit as big a threat to my liberty and health as Democrat politicians.

Which is why I contend that what we really have is a two-headed one party political system.

This has been the threat all along. Just like the way porkulus came to pass. The difference this time is the public outcry. The Tea Parties came after porkulus. Now, maybe, if we keep it up, the spineless RINOs will go the way of the blue dogs and chicken out.

Is it too much to ask that all of these idiots answer the simple question, “Where does the government get the power to do any of these things?”? If they can’t answer that question then no plan should be implemented. Hear that, RINO’s?

I think that is a realistic assessment — go for the moon, settle for a lunar landing, a foothold. It is used all the time.

We need a clean sweep in 2010 and 2012 and specific term limits for all elected and appointed politicians and judges

Sadly, it is a common and accepted practice in everyday business. How many times have I submitted a budget for the coming year, after being told to pad it by 30-40% by my managers, to insure we met our desires and most years we got more than we ask for. I feel certain there are smiles all around the WH these days. Once the toe is in the door, then they can expand the budget with every little bill that comes through, and we will never know anything about it.

Just look to the senate finance committee that is the last bill that has not come out.

(think election fraud and the hold back county)

Obama organized the hold back of that one bill in order for that to the bill they are REALLY talking about.

Obama ANYTHING is just Obama tax.

BTTT!

This is the most deadly threat which is what these RINOs were all emplaced for...to undermine constitutional defense and political conservative integrity...splintering opposition to the socialists.

United we stand...divided we fall.

Yup. We need to stand firm against any "reform" that would result in anything but LESS government - and throw out all of the big government spenders and regulators. That will be most of the US House and as much of the Senate as possible by term.

Why did it take you so long to figure that one out? I think it's safe to say that Rep's. Ron Paul & possibly a handful of others actually respect the Constitution & aren't a threat to our liberty.

"We are concerned that the three Senate Republicans locked inside the hothouse of Washington, DC negotiations do not become so obsessed with the quixotic quest of forging a grand "bipartisan compromise" that they lose sight of the economic, political and fiscal realities of the situation and lose touch with the views and opinions of their constituents.

No, no, here's a bipartisan compromise I could actually live with:

Republicans give a little by admitting the status quo does indeed blow, as maintained by the Democrats.

Democrats give a little by admitting that the problem was created by indirect government intervention (favorable tax treatment vs. cash wages), direct government intervention (Medicare/aid), out of control trial attorneys, and "private" companies that operate more like the government than does any other industry in existence. (Insurance companies: "You give us vast amounts of cash, then we'll treat you like crap, and when we do try to add services, it's busybodyish "illness prevention" and stuff like that which just infringes even further on your privacy").

Final result, government and insurance companies more out of our health decision making than they are now, maximum control/privacy to the individual, prison terms for any government employee who comes into possession of health data, HSA's the primary/only means of insurance.
