Line in the Sand - August 29th State Capitol Austin, TX

Throughout the 37 States with Sovereignty Resolutions, August 29th will be a day set down in history when We The People gave our government the option to either restore our Individual and State Sovereignty, nullify ALL Federal legislation that is unconstitutional, and restore our God-given, unalienable rights, or we will be forced to exercise the right our Founders set down in the Declaration of Independence and abolish our government (secede) and start a new government that will adhere to our contract with government that we call a Constitution.

This is not and should not be a violent confrontation. Violence is not condoned by anyone involved. However, we are exercising our rights and our duty to compel the restoration of our sovereignty and rights (alter our government) or it will leave us with no choice but secession.

Here in Texas, we'll be meeting with the Governor with the petition you find here. We'll also have the support of Rep. Leo Berman and all other representatives who support Leo's Sovereignty Bill and House Bill 1863 that nullifies all Federal legislation that does not have explicit authorization within the U.S. Constitution. We'll also be demanding the dismantling of all State agencies that have been created to support unconstitutionally authorized Federal agencies. We will demand that all support of illegal aliens be stopped in Texas and that the Governor deploy our National Guard and other volunteer citizens along our southern border to stem the tide of illegal immigration.

At the same time we deliver this to Governor Perry, we will also have copies of this petition and demand delivered to every county courthouse and County Sheriff throughout the State of Texas, effectively putting our local public servants on notice that they will be held accountable to the letter of their Oath of Office.

Y'all don't trust him. Perry says one thing and does another.

Consider this:
>Perry was the main driver of the Texas’ largest government land grab in history. Attempting through eminent domain to steal hundreds of thousands of acres from Texas farmers and ranchers.

>Perry paid lip service to action on the border. He claims to have sent state guard troops to bolster the border. There were less than a dozen and they were all clerical positions. The border remains wide open.

>Perry has done nothing to negate liberal municipal policies that essentially setup sanctuary status for illegals.

>Perry still to this day is an ardent supporter of foreign operated toll roads throughout Texas.

>Perry has put the citizens of Texas in jeopardy by allowing Mexican trucks to carry goods into our state/nation. Drugs/Safety/Jobs are negotiable.

>Perry's Trans-Texas corridor (Nafta-superhighway) project would erode our sovereignty and eliminate thousands of jobs in the trucking, merchant shipping, dock workers, security and related fields by allowing cargo to be diverted to Mexican ports and shipped via Mexican trucks up the TTC.

Perry talks tough, but is all this tough talk preparing him for a run against a Washington insider K B Hutchison?

Getting the Feds to back down has about as much chance as the proverbial compacted frozen rain in Hades. Nullification of the unconstitutional usurpation of powers is a likely avenue of dissent. Easy steps to pass resolutions and nullifications. However, we must be prepared for drastic step of secession.

We are not! To my way of thinking, there MUST be four problems to be resolved before secession can be viable:
1) Political: Who will lead us? Will we exchange one set of tyrants for another? What kind of government will it be?2) Economical: What currency? What will its backing be? Will we honor existing Trade agreements? How do we settle existing debt, Social Security, Medicare, etc.
3). Military: How will we defend ourselves against an inevitable invasion?
4). Logistical: There will be secessionists in Federal territory and vice versa. How does one “repatriate” those caught in enemy territory? How do you verify?

All tough issues, but not insurmountable.

Secession, or even the threat of secession, is not the answer. What is the answer is outlined in the constitution—the calling of a US constitutional convention.

Specifically, Texas should call for the convening of a US constitutional convention to be held in Texas!

To start with, the governor and legislature should set aside a large area, on which will be built the *equivalent* of a high security military installation, to include a conventional hall for delegates of the 50 individual States, quarters for them to live in, as well as a dining facility, a medical center, and a military barracks.

Then Texas will ask the other 49 States to each prepare a delegation.

Each delegation will have to provide two representatives appointed by that States legislature, in a method that they will determine, and a platoon of 30 State appointed adult persons of military age and in good health, who are “not beholden” to any part of the federal government of the United States, or the President of the United States, or any foreign nation or private interest or enterprise, and whom that State has legally sworn to uphold and defend the constitutional convention of the United States.

These 1500 persons will provide the security to the US constitutional convention and its 100 delegates. Additional security outside the perimeter of the constitutional convention will be provided by the Texas National Guard, Texas Department of Public Safety and the Texas Rangers, each of whom will also be sworn to defend the US constitutional convention.

The convention itself will be closed to the public and any officers or agents of the federal government of the United States. The convention delegates may choose to have the proceedings recorded, but otherwise no electronic or recording devices will be permitted on to the grounds of the convention. Security personnel should not bring any personal effects onto the grounds of the reservation.

The delegates will be sequestered, and it will be a criminal offense to attempt any communication with them, outside of official written communiques between them and their entire State legislature, transported in a secure manner. Security detachment personnel will not be permitted personal contact with the delegates on the grounds of the reservation, unless a threat has been received, or the delegate reports an improper contact or compromise.

All supplies entering the reservation will be inspected as needed by the Texas State Health Department and the security personnel of each State.

The US constitutional convention will remain in session until a draft document has been agreed to, and a 3/4ths majority of individual States have voted to approve to new constitution, and those changes to the existing government carried out.

As needed, if the sitting President of the United States, the US Congress, the Supreme Court of the United States, or any US Officer, refuse to carry out the directives of the new Constitution of the United States, they constitutional convention delegates may by simple majority vote, order them removed from office.

The convention, again by simple majority vote, may extend federal criminal penalties, to include life imprisonment or capital punishment, to anyone who attempts by violence, subterfuge, intrigue, espionage, or other means to subvert, coerce, monitor, or unduly influence the convention and/or its delegates preceding to or during the convention. These penalties will not be subject to review, pardon, commutation, or parole.
