it sounds like a bit of doubletalk on Johnson’s part.
The boycott doesn’t work if the ads are still on Fox. They ALL still are. They just shifted them around. It is a sham to ease some criticism.
DefendGlenn.com has received hundreds of emails in just its first few hours. The leftwing crazies can't come close to matching what our side will throw at these advertisers over the next week or so.
Take down the MSNBC adverisers. We are the purchasers..
I know it’s all about $$$$, but I think it’s sad that FOX is letting Progressive Insurance advertise on their network in the 1st place. They named themselves “Progressive” for a reason....having been founded (???) by ultra-leftist multi-millionaire Peter Lewis, etc.
I would boycott SC Johnson anyway, they sponsor a lot of socialist stuff. Boycott any advertiser that caves in to the liberal fascist thug tactics.
Just wait til the government has to buy everything for everyone. Think they’ll buy from Conservatives?
When I first started seeing these threads on FR... I challenged the posters to show me "proof" of the boycotts... all they could link to was some liberal blogs...
Some proof!! It shows that folks can still be fooled by propaganda...
I wish Beck had a more polished delivery. He’s difficult to watch.
That said, he’s probably the most honest man in news right now.
Maybe being unpolished and honesty go together in a business where image is often more important than the truth.
According to Newsbusters, Sargento Foods (cheeses for one) have pulled their ads with Glenn Beck. They’re off my grocery list now.
In other words, it depends on what your definition of pulled is. They never "directed" their advertising to Beck, so, telling stations not to run their ads during his program wouldn't be pulling them.
Where else would a smart company go to reach the most viewers?
CNBC? NBC? CNN? ABC? CBS? MSNBC?
No, if you want more bang for your bucks, FOX is where it’s at!
This is what Conservative organization is all about. What if all the companies that support this socialist agenda get boycotted by everyone in the TEA party movement? Normally, boycotts don’t work, but these are not normal circumstances. We have a highly motivated and large group of Americans looking for ways to support liberty and freedom. We need to get the information out on which products and services to avoid and why. If enough people get involved, this could lead to the next level of peaceful dissent. On top of that, we can find businesses that are a part of the TEA party movement that we can actively support.
Reasons why it would be a good idea
1. Hurt companies supporting this agenda during a recession
2. Diversifies the dissent from the town halls
3. Americans have dozens of purchasing decisions every day, and now they easily promote the cause
4. More information will allow the American people make better decisions
I am going to start working on this. If any other FReeper wants to help out with ideas or research PM me.
I won’t be able to give up Fibber McGee and Molly.
In response to inquiries concerning State Farm's recent advertisements in the Glenn Beck program, I want to clarify this situation.
We have a policy of not advertising on political or opinion programming. We have corrected this issue and have taken steps to make sure it does not happen again.
Understanding our millions of customers and thousands of associates hold a full spectrum of views on political issues, State Farm has a long-standing practice of not advertising in political discussion programming regardless of a program's political point of view.
Because of the recent situation, State Farm is now evaluating its commercial placement practices to ensure its political issues advertising guidelines are maintained.

Beck will come out of this just fine. His show on Fox is ratings Gold. In this era of economic duress, most companies will NOT bail from the show with the fastest growing viewership on the most watched cable news network in America.
Maybe we will get lucky and extenze, viagra, cialis, and all the other magic pills will get pulled off of Fox.
Having to explain ideas to a 4 year old way before its time when you are just trying to watch the news in prime time gets old.
We went to Costco to stock up today after just finishing my two week vacation. We looked VERY closely for the P&G label on anything we bought. We had to pass on what we normally buy - Charmin.
I must confess that it appears to be the only product of theirs that we (used to) use.
Here is a list, btw: http://www.pg.com/common/product_sitemap.shtml
Thanks for the info. Just sent them an email reminding them that their decision proves their management is not patriotic and therefore those of us who are patriotic will no longer purchase any of their products. Reminded them that most Americans are patriotic and we will broadcast their unpatriotic message on everyone of our 72 websites to our patriotic visitors.
