Naw, it is the fact that they are IN control that worries you and I. ;-)

Dear Rick:
Republicans who sell-out their nation, their constituents and the American people in general are NOT exactly in favor just now! Oh sure...you were of service to the ever classy Arlen Specter! And didn’t THAT work out well. Look for Arlen to repay that debt by making a profound gesture utterly contrary to HIS best interests REAL SOON!!!! You see, Rick, traitors are extremely popular with the party heads—the McCains, Grahams and Steeles just love your type. But actual CONSERVATIVES...that is, those who have always BEEN AND STILL ARE the republican party, do not like limp-wristed, spineless little unprincipled weasels. So do actual Americans—that is, CONSERVATIVES everywhere— a real favor and shut up, go home and re-discover the profound obscurity you so richly deserve.

I think you are shooting from the hip, not thinking. Bush wanted Specter. He was needed at the time to get Roberts and Alito confirmed (yes, I know they hadn't been named yet, but the openings were coming up). Had Santorum endorsed Toomey, I think you would be looking at Senator Hoeffel, which would have been much worse. PA was not about to elect Toomey. You may call it shooting from the hip, but we are early in the history of what kind of 'judges' Roberts and Alito will be. Time will tell if there was 'wisdom' in throwing Toomey to the liberal wolves was the 'right' thing to do. Santorum used up his political capital by hooking up his boat to the liberal Spector one man kayak. Spector sure did repay that favor now didn't he?
There does come a time when the chaff has to be blown off the grains of the wheat and nobody can say yet that what Rove advised President Bush to do was in the best interest of this nation. Personally I prefer an unadulterated liberal than a play actor republican using the 'right' in this nation as their pinata.

The author of this barely-disguised hit piece (Michael Roston) is a flaming left-winger who writes for
HuffPo and the
Village Voice.
Take what he says about the GOP with this:

I like Rick Santorum, he's basically conservative, he's nice looking and he speaks good, however, he doesn't have the charisma that will be needed to run for President at this time in history....that certain something that makes people drop what they're doing and listen, that makes them want to attend an event just to hear him/her speak. Sorry to say, neither does Mitt Romney have it....
Sarah has "it". She speaks common sense about the everyday issues affecting our lives...she speaks in plain language and she speaks with conviction....she gets people fired up with her speeches. She reminds me of Rush when he started out twenty years ago...people were saying, "oh my God, he's saying out loud what I'm thinking."
That is exactly how it is with Sarah Palin. They're hearing from her exactly what they're thinking, and they're not hearing that from other politicians.

Santorium is one of the good guys. He is experienced and has a very strong social conservative record. Yes, he lost in PA, but 2006 was tough on a lot of Republicans, particularly those in blue states.
I think Rick would make a very good candidate and if nothing else, bring proper attention to social conservative issues.

Santorum wrote a book about the upholding the traditional family in 2005. HE sugguested that the healthiest families are those which have a stay at home mom. Perhaps, Santorum think Palin needs to stay in the kitchen.

His only positive is that he is pro-life, and lots of dummacraps are just like him.

It doesn't matter if they undercut Palin in the primaries.
GRASSROOTS ARE NOT GOING TO SUPPORT SLICK MITT!
Santorum, you are a tool and putting you and your elitist GOP friends' selfish goals ahead of what's good for the nation.

Sara Palin will run for President as the head of a Third Party.
The RINOs will back Santorum or Pawlenty.
This split will put Obama back in for four more years.
You read it here first.
