I think this is called revenue enhancement.

around here every funeral procession is accompanied from the church/chapel to cemetary by police, so all cars are together in a procession .. it’d be difficult under those circumstances to pull one car aside

And we wonder if anyone will actually be around and want to enforce the Obamanation. Wonder no longer.

And as usual, the police department claims that the officer did nothing wrong.

Was the deceased ticketed too? The seat belt law applies to everyone with no exception for being dead, right?

This was stupid behavior by a law enforcement officer. Not a shred of judgment. I'm guessing what, about 20 mph for the procession? Sure glad the cop saved those unbelted people's lives.
And note the whole approach of the department. We're saving lives so individual circumstances don't matter. Nice mindset. These guys will make great health care enforcement officers.

The family members admit they weren't wearing their seat belts, then dont be surprised when you get pulled over.

Just wait until they have control of your health care....

This is why I used to travel only at night........until my eyes sort of deteriorated and the revenue enhancement officers starting using military night vision equipment to determine whether or not I was wearing a seatbelt.
Now, I just don't drive at all without expecting to have some money extracted from me for some sort of infraction or another.
If I arrive at my destination without having to deal with a selective tax of one sort or another, I feel lucky.
They should just turn every dirt path, county road, state highway, interstate into a toll road and leave us alone to peaceably travel.

It seems as if everyone going into any kind of governmental service work first has to have a lobotomy.
