They have to go through proceedings before doing that. When you file your taxes you provide a voided check each time, they are not supposed to keep the account info.

If this goes through then once you get your “government health card” simply change bank accounts or open a new one and keep the minimum balance.

Seems like this is a direct violation of our 5th amendment rights.

...nor be deprived of life, liberty, or property, without due process of law; nor shall private property be taken for public use (see socialized medicine), without just compensation.

I seem to recall officers being on the New Orleans payroll “who didn’t really exist” and that the city was hesitant to release the information because it would let the criminals know (and taxpaying voters know) that there weren’t that many officers on patrol.

It came out during Katrina when people were wondering why officers had abandoned their posts.

I want to know who was collecting the payments.

The Bill is unconstitutional.

Congress does not have the Constitutional power to even write it let alone address it.

WHERE IS THE DAMN SCOTUS!

What the hell is wrong with getting an answer on the constitutionality of a Bill BEFORE it’s passed??

What’s wrong with that?

We have to STOP HR 3200 from passing, and find democrats who will reject it in it’s current form, and this is one of issues that must be changed. I want WHOLE BILL DESTROYED, and please look at AARP ACTIVIST THREAD I posted earlier on the CLICK/PHONE/ZIPCODE SCAM thread.
WE do what we can, and give page number objections and write letters, and get News/radio to talk about this, and tell Michael Savage show if you know how to reach it, as he has good guests on...I can’t get that radio show where I live, only static.

I agree. The bill needs to die. You can’t make a silk purse out of a sow’s ear. There is NOTHING worth keeping from this PIG.

Nothing is wrong with that, but HOW ARE WE GOING TO GET THAT, WITHOUT THE PUBLIC OBJECTION TO THESE BILL PROVISIONS?

ABC News is reporting this afternoon that the Dems intend to repeat the Waxman-Markey debacle. They plan to come back after recess and ram thru a Public Option bill, using a straight party line vote under reconciliation rules, if necessary.

And thus the Revolution draweth nigh...

How much you want to bet there’s a provision that will limit how much money you personally can have? Once it goes over, it automatically gets siphoned off, to ACORN or some other Acronym

I dread looking at a bill like this. It is like staring into the eyes of Medusa.

But I’m surmising this is linked to gummit health insurance plans and has to do with how the premiums are paid. That wouldn’t be age specific.

(H.R. 3200) is just another intrusion into private lives that this bill does. I have and will continue to write and fax and call - the main message is; No part of this bill should be voted on, it should be put in the garbage where it belongs. There nothing but bad law and further trashing our constitution.

If you go to summer Town Hall meetings, go with this question: Congressman/woman are you going to keep the health care and insurance that the federal government plan has for you or will you use Obama Care? This whole bill should be met with derision plus the notice that anyone who is up for re-election in 2012 will most likely lose for playing politics with health care rather than taking care and PROTECTING their constituents from this fraud and the equally fraudulent Cap & Trade.

WE NEED TO HIT PAGE 59 HARD, it is not just Seniors but includes them too. This is everybody’s bank account at risk...we have to get this out, and become ACTIVISTS again.

Over 57 BANKS CLOSED THIS YEAR. THIS IS A WAR WITH COMMUNISM, FASCISM, SOCIALISM AND THE IDIOTISM IN CONGRESS and WH, who are trying to transform America to look like the old Soviet Union, only more sophisticated. WE either lay down and roll over to their will, or we don’t ...that is only two choices we have.

REMEMBER when Bill MAHER said we are a STUPID COUNTRY, and Attorney General said WE ARE A COUNTRY OF COWARDS....NOW they want our money, our lives and think we should just allow this bill to pass...I say NO< NOT JUST NO, BUT HELL NO. We have to do this in right way, and I don’t advocate any type of physical violence, only protest that is peaceful........legal.

THE SUPREME COURT? THE JUSTICE DEPT? LOCAL LAW ENFORCEMENT? where are the warrants, where are the lawsuits? Where are our elected officials on the Constitutional violations, the privacy violations, the conspiracy to commit a crime?

Didn’t they take a vow to uphold the Constitution of the United States. I think the SC stopped allowing emails back during the OHIO ACORN VOTE FRAUD SCANDAL, unless they are back up now.

Use emailing lists, use telephone lists, and tell everyone you know about this provision...people don’t like government messing with their money...period. This is best way to stop HR3200...call your reps, email them, and complain about it. Thanks.

Push talk radio and FoxNews to inform Americans that Gov’t will have access to transfer funds legally, through HR3200, from their bank accounts for “whatever” reasons the Gov’t sees fit...that will be a firestorm..it isn’t age specific or targeting just old people.

I could certainly see a royal bureaucratic goofup turning somebody’s bank account upside down.

But I’m not sure this is unlike agreements we make with credit card companies to accept payments over the internet. They contain boilerplate “you authorize us to transfer money from your bank account” language too. The question is how much and under what circumstances. Is this a swift new way of recouping Medicaid payments without due process? Or is this a basis for making direct payments to new gummit health plans?
