Possibly. And yes Jesus did speak in Aramaic. What I meant was the complete gospel was first given in it's entirety in greek.

When Jesus walked the earth, He spoke to the Jews in their own Aramaic tongue, but even then they did not understand him because he spoke in parables .

"Do you know why you cannot take in what I say? It is because you are unable to understand my language." John 8:43
