I have verified, through study and polling,

that it does indeed stem from a lack of basic understanding of human nature.
The reason that this misunderstanding is held onto so tightly is that if it falls, all the other things they believe in fall as well.
They usually have some things in their past that can’t allow the failure of the worldview that they’ve built up to protect themselves.

That basic misunderstanding is summed up as “I believe all people are basically good”.
This is the source of all ideological error.
The opposing view is biblical, and is therefore often rejected out of hand.

I think you guys have nailed a large part of it, but theres still a huge chunk of 'ole timers' here in the sticks that pull the donk lever out of pure reflex...

most of em are church goin and basically 'good' folk [as much as a human CAN be], they simply havent been exposed firsthand to the 'real world' of the literal toilets that are the big cities, and the depravity that average citizens will go to in order to get 'theirs'...

reality is gonna be a b!tch, and the irony is that most of these ole timers will be first in line of the 'hit parade' that is socialized medicine...

eventually their votes will be euthanised, but by them the the commies dont think theyll be needed...
