It's easy to believe that this officer holds that opinion. What's remarkable is that she made a public announcement about it. This shows there is loyalty to the truth and to another (white) officer who apparently has every one’s respect.

So did they just TALK conservative, or can we assume they VOTED for Ronald Reagan and both Bushes, as well as conservative local and state candidates? The issue here is voting.
If they did indeed VOTE conservative, than they are among a tiny minority of their race who did so.
But I don't know how long I'd care to continue voting Republican if everybody else in my party accused me of lying every time I said I disagreed with the Democrats!

I wouldn’t have called her a “liar”-that implies intent to deceive. I think she is frustrated and upset with the Zero, and that is a good thing. I just have my doubts about her not supporting him, or other Democrats in the future.

It's not fair to the rest of the Cambridge PD that only Crowley gets invited. After all, Obama said the PD acted stupidly. Gates was the guy who went after Crowley.

This may seem like a dumb question, but I really see no connection.
What's in it for her to announce this?
Let's give her the benefit of the doubt. I'm sure that there's a significant percentage of black people (and whites for that matter) that voted for Obama because he painted him self as a post-racial candidate; The candidate that was going to help America get past our hangups, animosity and resentment about race. That's a noble goal, even if it is a bit misplaced.
Flash forward a few months, and now we see Obama for what he really is - another in a long line of race-baiters with a tremendous chip on his shoulder. I don't think that there's anything wrong with the people who were fooled during the campaign (let's be honest, the media went out of their way to sell him as post-racial), to now reevaluate based on reality and not spin. I for one am grateful for this woman's epiphany and won't criticize her for it. I hope she's reflective of many other people - and with only 69% of black people thinking Obama handled this the right way, she probably isn't alone.
