Asked about recent comments Republican Sens. Jim DeMint (S.C.) and James Inhofe (OK) have made, suggesting that GOP would benefit politically if President Obamas health care agenda was stalled, Republican Whip Jon Kyl said, I dont agree with that kind of language.
Because the language has a political implication, Kyl added, I think thats unfortunate. Both sides talk about the politics of this. I dont think we should be focused on that. A week ago, Demint evoked Napoleonic metaphor, saying, If were able to stop Obama on this it will be his Waterloo. It will break him.
Speaking to conservative radio host Hugh Hewitt last Thursday, Inhofe said, We can stall it. And thats going to be a huge gain for those of us who want to turn this thing over in the 2010 election.

Let's see. The Dems are saying that they can't pass this Obamanation without Rep support. And Obama and Reid blame the Reps for blocking the bill. However, the Dems have more than enough votes to pass it themselves. The Dems are making this about the Reps because it is easier than blaming it on their fellow Dems.
Bipolar is the correct term for Kyl. He is generally judicious and conservatve. However, any time the suject can be discussed in legal terms, he sounds like some sort of nattering nabob. In Kyl’s case it is best to reject much of what he says and check how he votes.
The liberal reaction to the Waterloo comment is similar to the faux outrage about Rush's wanting Obama to fail.
Kyl added, I think thats unfortunate. Both sides talk about the politics of this. I dont think we should be focused on that.Oh really.
(((((( crickets )))))
What’s happened to Kyl the last couple of years? He wasn’t always this much of a pantywaist, was he?
Isn’t that the truth! This is disgusting out of Kyl. Why play up to the ZERO Administration?
He could take a lesson from DeMint and Inhofe on how politics is played. Disgusting out of Kyl. He said something else recently I found really annoying.
You are correct, he is taking over for Specter.
