Here is video of Ann Coulter on with Geraldo Rivera last night saying that President Obama's Birth Certificate is "not an issue," and that it is just being pushed by a "few cranks" out there. Coulter blamed the Mainstream Media's lack of in-depth reporting on Obama for the rise of those who believe there has been a conspiracy to keep the truth from the American people on the issue of Obama's birth.

Geraldo criticized Lou Dobbs as being a "dope" for talking about the issue, and for his opposition to illegal immigration. Coulter disagreed with Geraldo about Lou Dobbs, but said he is wrong on the birth certificate issue. Mike Huckabee chimed in that Hillary Clinton would have used the issue against Obama in the primaries if there had been anything to the story. . . . . . (Watch Video)

I do not think the birth certificate deal is causing Obama one bit of discomfort at all. It’s a useful distraction for him. For example, I’d rather have more attention on Obama’s self-inflected political damage in Gatesgate and less on this certificate.

Oh, c’mon — she’s not even close. If there were anything substantive and concrete about this issue — and for now it’s all conjecture — Ann would be all over it. That she’s not into the birther movement with both feet doesn’t damage her conservative credentials.

I never said anything about Obama. I said that this issue is distracting the Left, especially the MSM. Obama is just a prop for the Left. I don't care if he, personally, is disturbed by this issue. If he is brought down, it will be the Left as a whole that takes the hit. Who cares about Obama on a personal level. I guarantee that Obama is not paying any of the legal fees himself to fight this. Nor is he doing any of the real work to refute it. It is the mechanisms that are protecting him that need to be distracted.

I’m playing hooky under deadline at the moment and so can’t research it, but my recollection from last year’s discussions is that the then-applicable U.S. Code’s requirement for passing along (natural-born) citizenship was that the mother have 4 years of (continuous) U.S. residency after the age of 15 and prior to the birth. Stanley Ann misses it on the numbers, having delivered the little thug at age 18. Can another (lunatic birther FReeper) confirm or deny?

I think the easiest explanation is that the real birth certificate has something excessively embarrassing, which his vanity won't allow to become widely known:

say it lists his race as "white" or his sex as "female" or some typo like that.

The birth announcements in the Honolulu papers were based on filings with the state of Hawaii. So Obama’s birth was registered 4 days after his birth with the State of Hawaii and it was in the paper a few days later, where they published the health bureau registrations ...

We already know that is the case so go with #2. ... “make his opponents angry, distract us from real issues, and make us look like raging kooks to ensure nobody takes us seriously.” ... the way the COLB was released and shared was done precisely in a way to create such a divisions.

IMHO, Obama was born in Honolulu *AND* he will never do anything to satisfy those with doubts on that score (disbelievers of the evidence), since it benefits him politically to have this distraction out there. Any excuse he can to call his opponents ‘racists’ will be used.

Someone should ask Ann what the definition of ‘natural born citizen’ is. How does he define it? Then she should also be asked as to when it has been defined by the Court and if she cares at all as to how it is defined.

I guess Ann may think that this portion of the Constitution is meaningless.

Though I am a big fan of hers she is showing a lack of intellect on this issue.

If that is the case then Obama should have no problem allowing the state of Hawaii allo anyone access to his birth records. But it is obviously not the truth which is why he is blocking all access to such records.

Who really gives a care?? He’s a muslim. His father was a muslim whether he was black/”negro”/arab. Therefore, according to islam, hussein is also a muslim. Regardless of what Anne believes or says on this issue, I want to see the BC and his academic applications / transcripts from college. Nearly all other POTUS have done this. If it turns out that everything is legit then I’ll be satisfied.

However, when Hussein and his handlers have not only kept these documents secret but have spent $1 million to keep them secret, it is more puzzling and suspicious with each passing day.
