Now Boxer Is In Trouble? ( Sen. Boxer-CA )
REAL CLEAR POLITICS ^ | July 24th, 2009 | Sean Trende

Posted on 07/25/2009 5:12:46 AM PDT by kellynla

The latest Rasmussen Reports poll shows Senator Barbara Boxer leading her relatively unknown opponent, former Hewlett-Packer Hewlett-Packard (you'd think I'd have looked at my printer 20 inches away . . .) CEO Carly Fiorina, by only four points, 45%-41%. Boxer has never been terribly popular in the Golden State, but given the conditions Democrats have enjoyed the past few years, it is surprising to see her in Elizabeth Dole 2007 territory (though in a much more Democratic state).

Poll after poll shows incumbents once thought to be safe in pretty dangerous territory. These are the dangers of being in charge in the present economy, I guess.

Boxer in trouble?

Dream on, my whistling-past-the-graveyard-depressed-California-friends-and (ex-fellow-Californios.) The voter rolls in California are so corrupt, degraded, and just plain silly, that there is a good chance Lassie could win this seat, if the White House gets involved.

First the redoubtable Carly has to fight her way past the CA GOP Establishment, such as it is. Then the election, with illegal alien motor voters clogging the rolls with phony absentees, including many dead former illegal aliens, with computer fraud making up entire fictitious families at fictitious addresses, with ACORN ready to sign up felons, and rounding up street corner loafers from Guadalajara to Goleta.

What? You guys forgot Loretta Sanchez already? Look at how many of the legislature seats were captured by fraud. Look at how Boxer won in the first place. I am really afraid that you guys are stuck with this idiot until someone steps up on voter fraud.

But let's look at the bright side. BB (her initials, and her brain size) makes Diane Feinstein look intelligent, and Jane Harman look like Einstein.

The only way to avoid fraud in California is (A)Voter ID and no absentees, or maybe, crush the stupid bimbo 70-30, which given the collective IQ of the CA electorate, is a long shot.

BTW, how come no one in CA ever takes a look at the financial adventures of Messrs. Boxer, Feinstein, and Pelosi. Collectively, we are talking net worths in the billions. Clue: it ain't from picking up aluminum cans.

“This is where I diverge from die-hard conservatives. I would rather see a RINO in the Senate than Barbara Boxer. I’ll worry about the RINO when Boxer is no longer an issue...”

“I couldn’t disagree more.”

He’s right you’re wrong. When’s the last time California sent a real conservative as Senator to DC? Nixon in 1950?!?

In conservative states we need to defeat RINOs (like SC, NE, AZ, etc), but Cali we need to first defeat the socialists.

We dont know how good Fiorina would be, but we do know that Boxer is 100% bad. Boxer is behind CO2 cap-and-tax, for socialized healthcare, voted for every tax increase possible, and takes the time to gratuitously insult good Americans, generals, etc. on the side.

A sack of road apples would make a better Senator than she is, and I hope we are on board whoever the GOP nominee to defeat her.

George Murphy -- 1965 - 1971

It's been a while.

Maybe you should concern yourself with Maine and let those of us who actually live, work and pay taxes in CA take care of CA.

Well, Ernest, it seems that we've drawn a few out-of-state critics....again.

Never ceases to amaze me of the number of little ms. know-it-all’s from Sticks,USA who “think” they know all about our problems in CA yet couldn't find Brentwood with a map. LMAO

Satin hisself would be a trade up from Boxer.

“You seem to forget that CA gave America the best POTUS in modern history.”

You seem to forget that said hero Ronald Reagan was last elected into California statewide office in 1970, a mere 39 years ago. More than half the current California voters werent there, and I assure you, they havent been importing Republicans since then.

If you want to recreate a Republican Cali, you’ll have to get SanFran and LA to secede.

Anything with the name “Republican” next to it will do well next year.

Let's see how the special election in the CA-10 for Ellen Tauscher's seat goes in September, before making any predictions about how California at-large will vote for Boxer.

Mike is from Chicago.

Chicago means land of the stink.

Chicago's crime is through the roof, even substantially higher than even Los Angeles, California.

Chuck is the Everready Bunny (and an Ironman), he is crisscrossing the stae giving speeches to every group he can while still conducting State business.

Personally I think he has a good chance.

“Good riddance b^tch!”

That’s Senator b^tch to you, buster. She worked hard to get that title. That is, she put out a press release on the eve of the election about Bruce Hershenson with some peccadillo or other.

I think he has a good chance too. He has a lot of enthusiastic supporters among conservatives. A big grass-roots effort.

Excellent New England type advice, Kelly! I am taking it. I do love California and spent 15 glorious batting-head-against-wall years there. (Including losing a local election by 1600-1400 votes. Not too bad, considering there were only 2800 voters registered at the time.

‘Senators’ Boxer and Feinstein, both of CA, are in big trouble.

‘Senator’ Boxer was called a RACIST on the comittee floor, in front of God and everyone by a black chairman.

‘Senator’ Feinsteins Los Angelos office called the police to get rid of seven (7) senior citizens who wanted to speack to Feinstein about health care.

Are these women deserving to be Senators?

I’d happily call her “former Senator” if that makes her happier than ma’am. She has been lucky to date in being elected and re-elected, just a confluence of good fortune for her but she offers nothing of substance to justify holding the seat.
