And props to Drudge for linking it to the top of his site. He really gets about as much truth out as anyone on the planet.
I think it’s obvious who the true racist is. Mister Gates.
I think describing him as a ‘gentleman’ was being far too generous.
Well,in the NEW court, of Sotomayor, because the guy is black, he goes free, he can shout obsenities and refuse to show ID...because they, not like the rest of us are ABOVE the law..Obama was right..the officer was wrong.
White and Hispanic word against black word. Guess we know who wins this one in Obamaworld.
Language one would expect from a professor of "Afro-American Studies."
Well, I'd say a white guy in the same situation would still have to prostrate himself before the kevlar-adorned storm-troopers that are decked out to protect and to serve all of us.
I agree.
Gates is lucky this cop was so accomodating. I think more than a few cops would have buffaloed him when he reached for the “cordless” phone.
Apparently Sgt. Gates is in deep chocolate yogurt because he is a WHITE man in America.
Where is the other black male in all of this?
Yep, we see this all the time in the tourist area we live. Just call the cops and let them sort it out. If you start a shouting match with the police they are going to cuff you, as I saw the other day. If you continue to be unruly, you get to go downtown and explain it.
What’s the point of yelling at the police?
The white guys at the drunk neighborhood party found that out.
Racism ... phhhttttt!
bump.
One thing that positively identifies a racist is ATTITUDE; and that’s true for anyone involved in a racial matter.
Believe me, you’ll know it when you see it happening to you.
The other black male was the taxi driver.
You know, in one blow, Gates managed to make a fool of himself, expose himself as a racist, and do the same for Obama on national TV. Not a bad day at all.
Just imagine what Gates would say about a white man behaving like this towards a black police officer.
The reality here is that Gates was way, way out of line and most definitely should still be facing the disorderly conduct charge. This is not an example of racially-based discrimination against a black person, it’s an example of socio-economically based privileges being unfairly accorded to an educated professional affiliated with an Ivy League university. If he’d been a white construction worker and pulled the exact same crap, there’s no way the disorderly conduct charge would have been dropped.
