Yes Bitter: You’re on to something that I’ve been advocating for years. Kill the bastards in the first strike and then hit the funeral (It did happen a couple months ago with nice results).
What you would have then is the “ripple” effect. The first kill produces the funeral which generates the second kill. Then the funerals of those killed will generate more kills and the ripple effect keeps going on until there are no more funerals because we’ve killed all the bastards.

Not to take the wind out of anyone's sails but the leadership of Al Qaeda isn't to be inherited if AQ is to be effective. Al-Zarqawi was the important one to kill because he had the fire in his belly to be a most lethal opponent. Right now, AQ is more of a regional threat and the Taliban is front and center.
Mind you, I am hoping they don't get a more effective leadership.
