Ban FBI agents.
Look for Chuck Schumer and Barbara Boxer to push for legislation to prevent FBI agents from having access to high-powered firearms (or, at least, to limit the FBI to purchasing no more than one handgun per month)...
They eat their own. They set up a sting then prosecute the agent in charge? That would be my take on this,,,,there has to be a whole lot more to this story than is getting out. You just know it.......
When I was in an Army Reserve outfit in El Paso in 1977 our armory came up short 40 M-14 rifles (selective full auto).
I reported the apparent theft to the unit CO who did nothing. Later, I wrote up testimony when the Army belatedly investigated.
It appears to me in hindsight that the Supply Officer probably sold the rifles in Ciudad Juarez. A communist revolutionary group was operating there at the time. BTW, the suspect officer was a civil servant and son of a leading El Paso politician!
