For me, it depends on the reason. Personally, I think Obama is plenty of reason to fly the flag upside down. Also, it's not against the law to do so, regardless of the reason.

He should sue the town . I say about $200,000 plus legal fees should sound about right.

Flying or displaying the flag upside down is an acceptable method of displying the flag as a signal of dire distress and in instances of extreme danger to life or property. This is accoring to Title 36, U.S.C., Chapter 10, § 176.

If what Obama and his cohorts and abettors are doing to this nation at all levels is not putting this Republic, its Constitution, liberty, and property in dire distress and danger, then nothing is.

Most individuals who have served in the military service of our nation will (or should) recognize this signal.
Sadly, as the story illustrates, some vets recognize the signal yet they have no idea what it actually means.

It's more than a protest against Zero. It is a signal of dire distress to this Republic and its Constitution. The fact is, this Repuiblic is in dire distress so I can understand the sentiment and agree that it is appropriate under the circumstances.
