Rove, your 8 years of advising President Bush demonstrated the clearest “lack of strategy” we’ve seen in decades. You were horsecrap, period. So shut the hell up and get out of the way. Just maybe, a real American with common sense is about to step up and rally a whole bunch of real Americans to take back the country. You had your chance and you crapped all over yourself. Idiot. Wuss. Incompetent. Big deal, you beat Al Gore in an election by 700 votes, what an accomplishment.

The ObamaComs took political “strategy” to another level. Rove, Rollins and all of the other Republican “strategists” haven’t figured that out yet. Governor Palin has. Politics is now a whole new ballgame.

Rove is nothing but a paid mouth piece for the insider power structure. Simply, Rove is a traitor to this nation.

SARAH’S HIGHER CALLING:

Sarah Palin would do more for the nation, in my opinion – that is - take over the RNC and kick out Steele. She could get much more done for this nation as opposed to running for office - that could come later...

This would:

* Bring conservative principles back to the RNC (small government, get government out of our lives, lower taxes, 2nd amendment support, state's rights, small business support, strong defense, non-nonsense foreign policies) Conservatism works every time it is tried.

* She could be a credible spokesperson for energy, drilling, etc in light of sane environmental initiatives.

* She could, on a daily basis, take the wind out of Barry's sails on a host of his anti-American issues (bank take-overs, nationalization of large sectors of the economy, socialism, class warfare, generational theft, bigger government, anti-job creation). Her media appeal would take away from the daily barrage of "new plans" put out ad nauseum by Barry, Rahm, Steffy, and Astro-Turf Axelrod. She would be a countervailing force to the crap we get from the White Crib on a nearly hourly basis.

* She could - and this is the biggest reason - help with a 1994-esque take-over of both houses and start blocking the hopey-dopey-changey-strangey crap we have seen for the last 6 months.

Except for helping a campaign ROVE was everything that was wrong with the Bush Administration. He WAS the big amnesty pusher with his buddy Grover Norquist. The sooner the likes of Rove are gone the better the GOP will be. Rove doesn’t even follow the RNC platform...”We DO NOT SUPPORT AMNESTY”

Man! Any disagreement what so ever with Sarah Palin and you guys start the name calling! Your worse than the frigging libs!

Carl Rove knows his shit....thats been proven over and over. He doesnt have inside knowledge on why shes done this so of course its hard to see a strategy. The screwey policies of the Bush Administration werent always his he just advised them on how to go about achieving what they wanted.

I firmly believe Sarah would be well advised to seek Roves advise on things then decide for herself.

I beleive hes at least honest and loyal.

The last thing Palin needs is a bunch of worshipping Yes-men like we have here on FR.

History and Statistics confuse many.

They are confused because they believe both predict the future.

This is a foolish mistake, because both history and statistics report what Has HAPPENED and not what will.

Sarah, with all of our help will prove the statisticians as well as Rove and the lefties, very wrong and the incredulous look on their faces will betray their utter ignorance.

“”She also complained that too much time and taxpayer expense was going toward fighting ethics investigations, and that the mainstream media continued with unfair attacks on her and her family.””

Wouldn’t a JOURNALIST use the word EXPLAINED, as opposed to “complained”? Shakes head...

“”He called her move unclear and therefore a potentially harmful strategy for a politician.

“Effective strategies in politics are ones that are so clear and obvious that people can grasp,” Rove said. “It’s not clear what she’s doing and why.””

Well Karl, it is clear that Sarah didn’t run her plans by you RNC folks first, but somehow, I find that to be still another extraordinarily appealing trait of hers. If she decides to never again enter the political arena, I certainly would understand, though she never has struck me as the type who will take her ball and go home ; } So, why not try this - how about you all stop talking/speculating/spinning issues that you really know nothing about.

"Effective strategies in politics are ones that are so clear and obvious that people can grasp," Rove said. "It's not clear what she's doing and why."

Does anyone disagree with the two points Rove is making here?

(1) Are effective political strategies opaque and perplexing?

(2) Is it clear what Palin is doing and why?

The Architect" for managing his two victorious campaigns in 2000 and 2004.

Perhaps we need to remember Karl's stratergy led to the loss of both houses as well.

Rove simply stated the obvious. I read the entire article and couldn’t disagree with any of his observations.

I like Palin and hope she pulls this off. I’d like to see her head up a Contract with America 2010.

Palin’s decision to resign was, indeed, “risky,” and the outcome is “unclear,” as Rove pointed out. Even those of us who support her wholeheartedly should be able to agree with that.

So I don’t get all the snarky comments on this thread.

I haven’t had much use for Rove. I always thought he was over-rated.

So his comments here are of no value to me. He’s missed wide so many times, his voice means little to me if he agrees with my views or not.

In fact, if he agrees with me, it’s a good reason to re-evaluate my position.
