There is no crisis in health care....it is a political foot ball that in the end will increase medical costs and provide less care. Obama is really foolish to push this. Call your reps ask them to vote NO on this - remind them if they play party politics to please this president, they stand a very good chance of not being re-elected in 1012. This HC reform is not needed.

Somehow I get the feeling that the Dilbert healthcare plan of “don’t get sick” is better than the Obamacare plan...

The plan is to kill people a little faster so they can confiscate their life savings to keep up with the healthcare demand for those whom Obama deems more worthy.

The Senate has a rule that any member may request that the Clerk read the entire text of bill, out loud, into the record while the Senate is in session before a final vote. This is a stall tactic, but in cases such as this it should be demanded.

The Euthanasia think is no surprise... I predicted that it would be at least a possibility (more likely a probability) in nationalized healthcare.

It is merely the logical progression, taking into consideration that power corrupts, of some bureaucrat who would have the power to decide if you do or do not get medical treatment.

It should have been demanded for the original TARP bill.

Rush Limbaugh is too successful. That's not fair so we need legislation to "hush Rush".

Insurance companies' stock is too profitable. That's not fair so we need legislation to stop that.

Doctors who are specialists have attended additional training, and take additional risks, thus they make more money. That's not fair, so we need legislation to make sure all MDs (regardless of specialty or training) make the same amount of money.

Medicare has negotiated with doctors and hospitals for reduced rates, and all others pay a different rate. That's not fair so we need legislation to force everyone to accept less - less access to care, delayed care, less profitability for insurers, lower payment to doctors, etc

Did anyone listen to Mark Levin Show yesterday? I was trying to pump gas and listen when a woman came on and said that she went to a La Raza meeting explaining Health Care Reform. She said that this legislation is specifically for them and that 75% of the public option would cover illegals and that white people didn’t need it. Now, I was not able to hear very well but it was quite disturbing what I did hear.

Today’s Wall Street Journal has a good editorial titled, “The Dangers of Fannie Mae Health Care”, p. A15.

It points out that we already have good choices of private plans and a government backed plan that can run at a loss (like Fannie Mae did) will push out these other choices.

Further, a big government plan will negotiate down prices paid to providers, health equipment makers and drug companies based on its power of being the sole buyer to the point new research and development will be lessened. R&D is what has made U.S. health care good and less costly, so where is the cost savings in the long run with a big government plan?

I keep telling the GOP leadership that this is a STATE issue and that they should DEFUND it and allow the States to raise taxes to place Doctors, PAs and Dentists in County Health Departments. That would solve the “sick person” problem.

AND I suggested returning Physical Education to the Schools so that Wellness can be taught to the children.

In half a generation we COULD have a very healthy population.

As for hospitals, States could supply some funds for surgeries and hospital stays, but NO emergency room payments unless it IS an emergency . . . no kids with runny noses at the ER, in other words.

Abolish the IRS, Repeal the 16th Amendment, give States their Rights to provide for THEIR residents.

The Constitution says “general welfare” it does not say “Government Sponsored Welfare Checks” does it?

0bama proclaims these truths are right winged hatred and is portraying them as such. He outright said, “do not listen to the fear-mongling.” Therefore he will win in BSing everyone.

I heard it, too. I hope Mark Levin makes it available everywhere, or someone else is told the same thing and gets it out. I of course can’t remember all that was said, but do remember the Health Care Bill is for La Raza and all the illegal immigrants (maybe only limited to those from Mexico but that wasn’t said).

...Medicare has negotiated with doctors and hospitals for reduced rates, and all others pay a different rate.

Actually, Medicare DECREES lower rates and that's that... no negotiations involved. Physicians can either see Medicare patients on Medicare's terms or not see them at all. It's illegal to negotiate a private fee arrangement outside of Medicare.
