John Boehner recommends this handy guide to the healthcare informercial from The Freedom Project.
A Guide to the President's Health Care Infomercial
Acknowledging that his thinking on the issue has "evolved," President Barack Obama says he could support a law mandating that individuals purchase health care coverage, with fines for those who do not, but he stressed that there must be some kind of waiver for those who are simply unable to afford it. (snip)
During the election campaign, Obama said he was opposed to a federal law mandating the purchase of health care coverage.

Can’t get on...network timeout...must be packed...
Oh, and the accessibility of Congress.
Your right. I’m listening.
i’m not a doctor, however, one of the questions in the middle of this forum was regarding people going into medicine to be healers, not to deal with the “business” aspects of running a practice....ummm...last time i checked, a practice IS a business and with that comes adminstrative burden (patient scheduling, book keeping, record keeping, insurance) as with most businesses...sounds like obama wants doctors to be the local “healer” in town like dr. quinn medicine woman
you can get ammo here. Itis a hard job but we have to do it.
PS lsu is whipping texas!
is that on tonight? ......I wouldn’t know as only Fox appears in this house.
I’m starting to think that Government Healthcare is the Liberals idea of population control. </ tinfoil hat>
That's my question.
Obama doesn’t seem to have much use for the oldest among us... or the youngest.
Trust me, living in the LIB-STATE OF MASS, I drop sarcastic comments to my liberal co-workers all the time...especially since the daily newspapers are at the reception desk and sometimes garner a few comments...I let it roll right off my heart/sleeve and don’t give a fig of the opinion around.
Funny thing, a few of us were talking about Gran Torino today and I was amazed that so many libs didn’t mind the “unpc” language in the film. They all simply loved it...go figure.
No doubt about that at all.
God have mercy on us.
They’ll let conservatives die off. Dress like a hippie when going to the doc from now on. No showering or deoderant. Sling the “F” word around.
I told a lib to picture the IRS in the ER. You should have seen his face. lol
Obama doesn’t care about anyone other than himself. I don’t think he cares for Michelle.
He is performing and it is pitiful. He seems vry much a snake oil salesman.
By the way somebody upthread called this “vaporcare” and I loved that,,we need to get that to fox.
lol
ABC is taking frequent smoke breaks for Obama.
I imagine worse than that. The Doctor will be prohibited from treating prolonged age related illnesses, only we won't know it.
And forget about that knee replacement. Suck it up, it's part of the aging process.
Q. How far will big brother go into my personal life? How will we pay for the national healthcare system and who will pay for it?
A. We want to place some restrictions on insurers. Pre-exiting conditions have been used as tool to deny coverage. We think those policies should end. Insurers will have a larger customer pool, so they’ll still be able to be profitable.
If we do nothing, costs will rise 6-8% a year. Americans are going to lose their healthcare if we do nothing. We want to reduce costs long-term by investing in prevention, health IT, etc. There will be upfront costs: 1-2 trillion dollars. We want to pay for what we do in healthcare reform without adding to the deficit. 2/3 cost would be covered by reallocating money from stuff that’s not making you better and putting it toward prevention, etc. 1/3 cost will be paid for by new revenue. I propose cap on itemized deductions for top 2-3% incomes.
That’s all the left has.........scare tactics, Tarp, global warming, healthcare, autos, banks.
