I am already sending tweets to specific people and usernames, but how do you do it so it appears in a discussion?
I don’t know; porter_knorr and WestCoastGal posts a lot of information on Twitter and they can tell us.
Pinging for help.
See my post 162. Any ideas?
You have to find the trending words they are using for the discussion you want to join. Then use the # signattached to whatever word you’re usingin your post.
I follow everyone I want to discuss things with for the most part so my posts show up on their page [if they follow back] and theirs appear on my page since I’m following them.
It’s kind of hard to explain.
The big problem I found with the #Iran board is too many people are RT [retweeting] stuff so it’s very congested with the same stuff over and over.
There are other apps like tweetdeck and twitterfeed plus more but I don’t use them so I can’t help with that.
It appears #iranelection is the trending topic right now. This appears on the right side of your page. Also #RT Iran is trending as well.
What WestCoastGal said, you may want to retweet a few people to get seen a bit, and more people will follow you. I look at people who are consistently posting on the subject instead of the trending words.
(I personally would rather see the news, not people expressing opinions about what they are watching on CNN)
If I may, here are the people I see the most new info from:
MichelleMalkin
augustine25
BreakingNews
powerlineblog
Mashable (usually does info stuff, more tech, but they are doing an outstanding job on facebook and twitter with Mousavi’s messages. They are a good resource for twitter tutorials too)
Change_for_Iran (apparently a student and on the scene)
Heytammybruce
Infadelsarecool
(Lucy, sorry I somehow missed this until just now)
