Nice letter, I personally would be very happy to see 95% of the current Congress fired in 2010 and the president fired in 2012. And like the letters author I no longer give a damn about party. Most of the GOP is just as bad as most of the Democrats. Throw the bums out, all of them.
>This letter is bang on, as a Canadian on the outside looking in, the situation in the US scares the crap out of me, too bad nobody listens to the good people.
Then can I get your Canadian perspective on a couple of pieces I wrote?

It says "she" on Beck's website.
The poster must have made a transcription error, or Beck's editor fixed it.
Time to go back to this tagline...
FYI, this throw the bums out, attitude started in the 2006 election and continued into the 2008 election. Just about every talking head mis interpreted those elections. “We the People” had had it with the incompetence of the Bush Administration and the GOP controlled Congress. More government, big spending, open borders, idiotic “free trade deals”, etc. So out with the GOP, unfortunately the only alternative was the Democrats. Foolishly the Democrats are giving us the incompetent Bush on steroids. OK, fine democrats, your turn next. I just wish there was a real alterative to the useless D’s and R’s.
Gotcha. In the interview this morning she said she spent about 2 hours on the letter, including the original writing and then going back and tweaking words and phrases here and there.
It may be talking points, but she sounded legit. I guess we’ll know withing the next day or two. If she plagiarized or used talking points, the opposition will find out and make it public.
She was on Beck’s radio show this morning - very credible and emotional in her words. A grandmother, too!
Our down fall began when WE the PEOPLE allowed the government to start passing laws that circumvent the basic principles of our constitution. The tea party's that are going to be held on July 4th should include FIRST and FOREMOST that ANY AND ALL politicians that do not uphold their oath of office 100% will be removed and immediate removal will not be soon enough. WE must use our collective powers to send that message if we are to regain our liberty and the status of a free nation.
Totally possible.
If she’s a parent and grandparent, she grew up during a time when most democrats were what we now refer to as “Kennedy Democrats”; that is, strong on national defense, strong on lowering taxes, and strong on traditional American values.
The liberal nut kooks of that day weren’t called “liberal”, or “progressive”, or “democrat”... they were identified by the name that defines them: COMMUNISTS.
A couple of years after McGovern she registers democrat in about 1974 and votes for Carter in 1976, all that is fine but then she stays a democrat through the next 30 years after 1979 and now writes this?
This woman is goofy.
Not buying it. She must have had one heck of an epiphany last year. The things she lists are not new problems.
Having said that, “the letter” is spot on.
Yes, I listened to her on the radio, and rushed back to the office to read the letter. She was very emotional, and I could hear in her tone the frustration, the emergency, the desperation...and the nervousness.
Gov’t employees, politicians, unions, illegal aliens, those on welfare, & the like are happy with our march to socialism/fascism. They will fight us tooth & nail to keep the gravy train headed their way.
She mentions voting out all in our greedy ruling class, but who is gonna vote out the likes of Pelosi, Reid, or Kennedy. Their constituents certainly will not. They gleefully go to the poll in droves to reelect these bums every time. Short of mobilizing a large group of conservatives to move into her district, Pelosi will never be replaced by a limited gov’t conservative. And with congressional leadership determined mostly by seniority, she will remain a very powerful congressman for years to come.
No, this country is as polarized as it was in 1776, & only a bloody revolution will change anything. And even then there is no guarantee the conservatives will succeed.
Just don't count on the ballot to change anything for the better. That should be obvious by now.
My best friend, now deceased, would agree with all the statements, and he never voted for a Republican in his life, lot more like him in our country.
Interestingly when I read her letter all I see is concern about money, the lifelong democrat voter doesn't seem concerned about moral issues at all. She sounds like a liberal that has developed an interest in keeping more of her money.
