I read somewhere that the dealerships that were closed down were almost all Republican donors.
I hope that can be proved
Just the modus operandi, throwing people under the bus, don’t you get it?
Most dealers in our area are close buddies...The ones that shut down will just go work for/with a buddy. It’s been like that for years.
I hope that can be proved”
Look If it could be proved what exactly do you do now? The highest court in the land is useless!!!
“I read somewhere that the dealerships that were closed down were almost all Republican donors.”
That is undoubtedly true. However, it is also very likely that 90% of all car dealerships are owned by Republicans, so the closure rate would match that no matter the intentions.
If it can be proved that 83% of dealerships that were ordered closed were/are Republican owned, isn’t that a form of discrimination? I thought there were laws against that.
Even if true, BFD. This is about the tenth time I have posted this, but I will post it again:
THE POLITICS OF THE DEALERSHIPS THAT ARE BEING CLOSED IS ABSOLUTELY IRRELEVANT UNLESS IT DIFFERS SIGNIFICANTLY FROM THE POLITICS OF THE DEALERSHIPS THAT WILL REMAIN OPEN. IF, FOR EXAMPLE, 95% OF THE DEALERSHIPS BEING CLOSED SUPPORT THE GOP AND 95% OF THE DEALERSHIPS THAT REMAIN OPEN SUPPORT THE RATS, THEN YOU HAVE A LEGITIMATE ISSUE. BUT IF 95% OF BOTH GROUPS OF DEALERS SUPPORT THE GOP, THEN THERE IS REALLY NOTHING TO COMPLAIN ABOUT EXCEPT FOR THE SOCIALIZATION OF AMERICA.
My point is this: Stop focusing on the dealers that are being closed down and start focusing on the dealers that are being allowed to stay open.
I read somewhere that the dealerships that were closed down were almost all Republican donors.
I hope that can be proved
And that alone would prove what? Any valid comparisons would have to go much deeper.
and if proven, so what?
the media won’t care, the courts won’t care, the Congress won’t care..
Not true. The percentage of closings are normal against the population of the donations. The closing dealerships were +4% in contributions to the Republicans. The entire population of dealerships were +4% in contributions to the Republicans.
This is a red herring. There doesnt seem to be any clear reasoning used. I am sure that somewhere, someone has some. But it wasnt political.
Mentioned this to a person the other day. They asked, where did you hear that and I responded, Fox News. They snickered and said, “that’s what you get from Fox, lies.”
