Amid all the shocking details in the disrupted plot to bomb Bronx synagogues and fire missiles at American military aircraft, one component of the case should come as no surprise - three of the alleged culprits converted to radical Islam in prison.

Radical Islamists have targeted prison populations for recruitment for years. That's where Jose Padilla, suspected of plotting to detonate a dirty bomb and convicted of conspiracy to murder people overseas and of providing material support to terrorists, converted and was radicalized.

That's where a California man, Kevin James, created his own cell, called the Jam'iyyat Ul-Islam Is-Saheeh (JIS), and recruited other inmates to plot attacks against military and Jewish targets in and around Los Angeles.

In New York, the man who was the head Muslim chaplain for state prisons considered the 9/11 hijackers to be martyrs. Warith Deen Umar spent 20 years working with New York prisons, overseeing the hiring of Muslim chaplains and leading prayer services.

My organization, the Investigative Project on Terrorism, obtained an audio tape of a speech Umar gave in 2004. In it, he told his audience that victory for Islam would not come without loss:

"Brothers, be prepared to fight, be prepared to die, be prepared to kill. It's a part of the deen, and this ain't your brother just saying this, this is history, this is Quran, nobody can deny it. and we need to let the enemies know."

The Guantanamo prisoners will be looked up as jihadi rock stars and each one could potentially produce a hundred new ticking time bombs ultimately walking the streets of America. Although the President tried to reassure us that no inmate has ever escaped from a super maximum security prison, what about the newly indoctrinated jihadists among the existing inmates who will be certainly released after their terms are up?

This, amplified by the Philadelphia Magazine article posted just below on Philadelphia's experience, needs to be on every Congressman/ Senator's desk. It's signicant enough and well-documented enough to make make you think we truly do have the radical in chief in the Oval Office.

Because muzzie proselytizers have convinced blacks that Islam is the true “African” religion that was followed by many, if not most, captured slaves and lost under the oppression of the slavery system.

That, of course, is propaganda. The majority of slaves followed tribal religions and were often CAPTURED by Arab Muslims who sold them to white slavers.

And, of course, the Nation of Islam has helped to convince many blacks that their version of Islam should be the black man’s faith and orthodox Muslim recruiters have taken advantage of that cultural fact.

Getting them OUT won't help, when you consider what we're about to put IN when we close Gitmo. Namely, veteran jihadist advocates with street cred, experience, and lots of free time on their hands. Not just a stray visiting imam trolling for felons. No, this will be 24/7 death-to-America, "You want revenge on society, eh?", on-site support.

This problem can be solved very easily. Segregate the radical muzzies and allow them no contact with any one else in the prison. This is being done in NYC in terms of gangs and it works wonderfully for reducing prison violence.

In another life, (1969), I was 'invited' to partake of the state's benevolence behind walls for a six month vacation.

There were 'black muslims' back then .. scarey as $h!t to THIS white boy .. . and it never really meant much until 2001.

I'm sure the 'movement' was older than 1969, so ... this is nothing new.

I mean, really .... who gave much concern to Muslims before Sept. 11, 2001 ?

The Black Muslim movement started - or became noticeable - sometime in the late 60’s - ‘67, ‘68, ‘69.

I was living in Texas at the time and someone I knew actually joined them. They were a pretty big deal at that time and some churches even supported them.
