Thank you very much for posting this. I really appreciate knowing that so many from PA oppose the zero.
Obama’s stimulus package can always be used to balance off what Catholics give out of charity.
Seems like someone else is selling his soul for 30 pieces of silver.

It just made me so sad to see the police haul away the older priest on a stretcher. It just looked like any other banana republic police force threathening the innocent who have a right in America to speak without being arrested. The president of Notre Dame should step down. Doesn’t he understand what religious turmoil he is causing? Besides not caring what his own Church doctrine teaches, he doesn’t care about terrorist tactics used on elderly priests standing up for Catholic beliefs on his campus. He will have a lot to answer to God for when he is judged by Him.
I can pretty well guess why it is important for Obama to come to Notre Dame. He wants to point up the disagreement among Catholic “intellectuals” and ala’ carte practicing catholics regarding abortion. Not all Catholics agree with Catholic teaching about the evils of abortion. In order to be effective Catholics are going to have to present a public unity of understanding that abortion is the number one evil in the world today. And one way to begin that process is for the American Bishops to get it together and make a statement that all pro-abortion supporting catholics cannot receive Holy Communion in the Catholic Church. This in effect would excommunicate them all and their pro-abortion opinion would have no impact in the media nor on the public.
Dr Keyes actions are a clarion call to all decent people left in this U S of A.
I thought that it was just the " ala carte practicing catholics", too, but apparently it's bigger than that:
Jesuit educators back Obama Notre Dame invitation
"The president of the Association of Jesuit Colleges and Universities said he has privately expressed support for the University of Notre Dame in its decision to invite President Barack Obama as commencement speaker and hopes the controversy that has erupted over the invitation leads to substantive talks among college presidents and bishops.....
Thanks for your comments. My tiebreaker so to speak, is the life of Jesus Christ.
Here was a member of the Holy Trinity, who volunteered to be born to a woman as any other common man. What a tragedy for all time it would have been, if this Being born as a common man, and ultimately to redeem man, regain his Princedom of this world, and return to His Supreme Being status were to have been scraped out of his mother’s womb, and tossed out with the trash.
I agree with your comments about what Bishops should do. I believe that many religious organizations have apostated, strayed from the official church teachings. It’s time to return to Biblical teachings in a common sense manner.
Turn their backs, and mess with the teleprompter.
And just exactly what crime did these people commit?
He was arrested for trespassing, just like he was last week. I don’t know why people are upset about this. Keyes knew he was breaking the law and would be arrested. In fact, that’s exactly what he was wanting to happen in order to gain more publicity for his protest.
He was quite upset last week when someone anonymously bailed him out, because the plan was to remain in jail until after Obama’s speech. That’s why he trespassed again this weekend, so that he was sure to be back in jail. They’re not going to grant bail again since they know he’ll just do it again.
It’s a stunt — for a worthy cause, perhaps, but there is absolutely no reason to be upset that Keyes was arrested, since that was his plan all along.
Saul Alinsky's Rules for Radicals probably provides the answer, something along the lines of dividing his opposition, generally stirring up controversy, creating distraction from other issues and actions. It's all about acquiring and consolidating political power for himself and his inner circle. I agree with you that more people should be asking "why".
The only reason Barck Obama is in South Bend today is to show the world that HE can and will place his boot on the neck of Notre Dame...AND that American “Catholics”=CINO’S will let him do so...

oooorrrrrraaaahhhh
nice pic
“He was arrested for trespassing,”
That makes no sense. People all the time go to Universities and Colleges who are not students there and do not get arrested. People all the time protest on campuses of Colleges and Universities including those who are not students or faculty and do not get arrested.
You will have to do better than that to explain why anyone was arrested for tresspassing.
Alan Keyes is a real leader, he doesn’t do gutless press releases that everyone fawns over. We are in big trouble because a guy like him gets overlooked. I want to know why?
I came this close to voting for him in 2008 and now I regret it. If the Republican Party is serious about rebuilding they need to take a serious second look at him. There is no reason why he should have to run on a third party ticket! That is just shameful!
I agree.
I don’t think that’s the point, really. Keyes wanted to be arrested-—he even wanted to stay in jail when he was bailed out against his wishes. It was a stunt to cast light on his cause.
