Former – and perhaps future – Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney wants to make one thing clear, he’s not sniping at Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin, another likely presidential candidate.
Earlier this month when Romney and Rep. Eric Cantor, R-Va., were interviewed on CNN, they were asked about radio talk show host Rush Limbaugh and Palin’s inclusion in Time magazine’s list of the 100 most influential people.
Romney quipped, “Was that the issue on the most beautiful people or the most influential people? I'm not sure. If it's the most beautiful, I understand. We're not real cute.”
Some pundits took that as a swipe against Palin.

Romney sounds more like the self-effacing type than the sniping type. I’m giving him this one.

I suspect one of the most irritating facts about Sarah to the liberati was that there really wasn’t anything in her appearance they could criticize.
I think the modern obsession with looks is unbelievably stupid, but that doesn’t make it less of a real factor.
He was trying to say she is ‘just another pretty face’, one of the timeless and classic attacks against a good looking professional woman.

Whoa, Mitt must have gotten an earful. But, yeah, he was probably as much of a drive-by media victim in that exchange as was Sarah even though his original remarks were “sore loserman” words.
That's because they wanted to generate a political controversy to talk about. On a list that includes the likes of Brad Pitt, Penelope Cruz and Zac Efron among others, Romney was correct.
Romney will make a great Sec. of Treasury in Palin’s cabinet.

Gov Romney. You are a milktoast RINO associated with the people’s state of Massachusetts. As such, I have no need of your opinions. Go back to Kennedyland and drive a car somewhere (preferably without a woman aboard).
Let we conservatives get on with recovering our nation from the Obama full stall.
Sarah Palin is on three lists: Most influential, most beautiful, and most trusted.
Mitt may qualify for the first two lists, but certainly not the third.
