(MYFOX NATIONAL) - Last week Google brought in a herd of goats to mow the grass on its Mountain View, Calif. headquarters rather than using lawnmowers.
The company said that it wanted to take a more "low-carbon" approach with the goats reducing the company's contribution to air and noise pollution. The cost of hiring the 200-some goats is about the same price as mowing, but the goats were "a lot cuter to watch."
PETA responded to a TechCrunch call about the goats saying that though they have no problem with letting goats do what they do, they do have concerns about how they were transported and whether they have enough shelter and water.
Google said that though the goats were not technically employees "each goat is entitled to a free organic lunch."
Turns out another tech company uses goat power to mow its property, Yahoo has also employed goats to graze their grounds .

Many alive today have no concept of reel mowers. I have one, and one of the neighbor's kids asked me (while I was mowing my lawn), "what is that?"
Perfect. Power mowers do not produce methane.
Goats at Google ping!
God's noble creatures forced to work in unclean inhumane conditions in servitude to the PETA cabal! Were they consulted before being dragged into slavery for 'the man'? How vile to be carted off in cargo holds without warning to a new land to serve the whims and needs (and perhaps the sexual appetites) of their new tasksmasters.
Were they provided proper shelter and hygiene facilities? Did they have the opportunity to collectively bargain for wages and work rules? Do they live under the threat of respiratory distress from the polution caused by the vehicles entering the parking lots at the facility? Do they have to compete with PETA employees for access to the leaves and grass necessary to sustain them? Have they been informed of their right to seek redress in their grievances? How will they be impacted now that they have been forced to endure the effects of global warming?
How dare those evil PETA taskmaster flagrantly violate the rights of these poor creatures.

Mind that you don’t step in the, ahem, carbon.
Watching the extreme politically correct debate each other is funny and frightening at the same time.
How did the goats get there? A bunch of trailers transporting 200 goats to and from the place probably used more “dirty fuel” and emitted more “greenhouse gases” than mowing the lawn.
Ya mean the effing grass is NOT to be counted as food. Tell that to a goat.
When I was in the Air Force in the 1960s, goats were used as ‘non-sparking’ lawn mowers in the POL tank farm.
At the end of the summer, the animals were disposed of through marketing and redistribution (salvage).
The local VFW post would usually be the successful winner, and the animals would end up as the entree at our fall barbecue.
How many ILLEGAL lawncare workers lost their jobs to Google’s goats?
That should be a taxable benefit, right? Where's the IRS when you need them?
Use to raise Angora goats, they are wonderful, but lots of work with hoof trimming, delousing, worming every 3 months and shearing twice a year, but its not work if you love it..
Goat slow roasting on a spit all day, mmmmmm mighty tasty.
Grazing induces root die-back, a cyclical process that sequesters more carbon than any other land-based method.
Like Dennis Prager says “C02 is plant food”
The environmentally correct thing to do would be to teach the Google nerds to let the poops dry and then stomp and spread them. Better would be to get some chicken tractors out there.
See post 55.
back years ago in Silicon Valley, National Semiconductor was in a down turn, money tight, one of the big wigs had some goats on his property, he brought them in to mow the lawns, saving money!
however to use goats to stop global warming? well I hope they calcualted all the fuel burnt shippin ghtese goats in, and the fact that these goats themselves produce CO2.
I think it would be better gloabl warming wise to kill the goats, adn allow teh lawn to grow.
what happens to all them lawn clippings? They decompose and break down in part to CO2!!!
this project may not be all that global warming freindly after all. now if only I had a hybrid mower!!!
with all the health club benifits google offers to employees. (yes that have an employee gym) maybe they would be more enviromentaly correct to have the employees take a turn at the push mower,(hence saving on the gym costs) then they need to carbon sequester the grass clippings, they must not be allowed to decompose, the earth has a fever dont you know????
this is what we get when crazed liberal retards run a bussiness.
