New York, New York April 29th, 2009 - The National Leadership Team of the Nationwide Tea Party Coalition (http://www.nationwideteapartycoalition.com) today accepted President Obama`s invitation "to have a serious conversation about how we are going to cut our health care costs down over the long term, how we are going to stabilize Social Security.
The invitation was extended by the President at a Town Hall Meeting held in Arnold, Missouri today (http://www.politico.com/news/stories/0409/21870.html). Michael Patrick Leahy, a member of the National Leadership Team of the Nationwide Tea Party Coalition, said " We want to broaden the scope to address the President`s runaway march to socialist-statism, and the rampant across the board irresponsible spending he is promoting with his $787 Billion Stimulus Plan and his $1 Trillion Annual Deficit, his takeover of General Motors, Chrysler and the Banks ."
Kellen Giuda, organizer of the New York City Tea party attended by 12,000 and of Parcbench (http://www.parcbench.com) said, I think a constructive dialogue with the President would be a great opportunity for him to acknowledge that, yes, many Americans have a problem with the way Washington is handling our taxpayer dollars and also that we are concerned about health care and social security reform. I am happy he is open to a discussion. The Tea Parties are protesting against fiscal irresponsibility and any dialogue we can have will hopefully bring a better public understanding of our country`s finances. Health care and social security reform is a large concern to us."
The National Leadership Team of the Nationwide Tea Party Coalition includes 25 of the more than 900 local organizers of the April 15, 2009 Tax Day Tea Parties held across the country, which were attended by more than 1 million Americans. Members of the National Leadership Team includes Judson Phillips, organizer of the Nashville Tea Party attended by 10,000, James Dickey, organizer of the Dallas Tea Party, attended by 5,000, and JoAnn Abbot, organizer of the Washington, DC Tea Party attended by more than 3,000. The full list of the 25 members of the National Leadership Team of the Nationwide Tea Party Coalition can be found at http://www.nationwideteapartycoalition.com/about.php
I don’t have it. Try the Google cache.
These are people who organized some of the better attended evensts, so piss off when you say, “You don’t know that.”
If you don’t like what other people are doing, get off your ass and do something other than ordering people around.
“David Axelrod, Rahm Emanuel, Barack O bow ma are not amateur liars, they are skilled liars, practiced in the ways of deceiving the people to manipulate opinions.”
Now as to your other points about the media - we really need to continue to pound on the lies, because as a friend on a local blog wrote recently, if we learned anything from Pres. Bush’s tactics, it was that we need to pound and pound and pound on lies and deceptions of the left. Unswerving and without mercy. The old liberal media is dying - we need to define the new playing field as Conservatives, moreso than anyone else. This will include calling people out on lies and forcing them to prove them.
That said, I just think we need to be cautious in playing deceptive games of chicken and deception as this so-called leadership team did with dear leader.
*That* said, we need leadership in the Tea Parties and the Parties are not not for naught!
The Tea Parties were also about illegal immigration, and DC’s criminal acceptance thereof.
whats the contact number...website is down and cant be found on google.
That’s part of the problem, that website is not on google, even the cache. But, swampsniper pointed me to a website with the word chicago in it..and it has the list of names that are being referred to on this thread.
Thanks SeattleBruce, this is the website the original article on this thread posted as the go to site for more information.
This one doesn’t exist
“A people gets the government it deserves and as long as Americans are willing to elect people who lie to them, they will continue to hold office.”
This is just so profoundly simple and true, it’s not even funny. Yes.
A lot of Ego on this thread. Many FReppers going after their own.
I, personally, would love to see a leader step forward. I nominate this guy.....
THE WHISKEY REBELLION
I remember the devil suit you wore to the protests...do you still wear it? :)
SO....why so much infighting? Great, they had larger crowds...
If all the mini-tea parties have a different route to achieve their goals and agendas than the top 25, yet, they are associated with the bigger guys, (25 or so)...who may or may not have the same goals or methods to achieve the goals, what happens if the little guys get burned...?
Is it right to have 25 people speak for protestors who don’t know them? I’m not arguing..simply seeking understanding and answers. I can’t decide if these guys are worthy of speaking for millions or not.
Got a mirror?
You still don't know what you claimed. Piss off yourself. You are the kind of person that gives this site a bad name. You were wrong, and either you're a fool or you know it, but you don't have the grace to admit it. Then you give advice that you're not following.
I didn't order anyone around. I drew a conclusion from your remarks and those of navyvet. You think the truth is a kind of order. What a maroon!
Rather harsh Mad.....
I don't have as many degrees as many on FR, but, I have never known a mob to dictate policy. Every movement has a leader.....
I think you're absolutely right that sooner or later leaders have to emerge. It was the appearance of being self-appointed that got my dander up. But somebody else pointed out that this is just a skirmish in which a few soldiers put on general's stars to confuse the enemy. I'm jake with that.
we need to know the leader before we follow. I think we all agree with that!!
Fair enough old FRiend. Thanks for being the first to sling less mud.....
Now if the Doc and Swamp can post up.....this thread might be more.....civil...;)
I’m sorry, I inadvertently did a drive by on you gents....
Darn italics, sorry Kim.
