The Australian Defence Force has trouble attracting recruits at the moment. I keep thinking a solution for the Navy could be the slogan.
Join the Navy. FIGHT PIRATES!
What 18-year-old boy could resist?
Instead, there's too much talk about peacekeeping, fisheries patrols, border protection, rescue - all very important and worthwhile but not exciting enough to engage a lot of potential recruits.
FIGHT PIRATES! That would do it.

I think it would be better if it said “Join the Navy, Kill Pirates!”

The Aussies only threw chairs? I would have thought they’d be throwing their empties at ‘em as well!

Hmmm. Did the ship have a bowling alley by any chance? Maybe it would be a good idea if cruise ships had bowling alleys.

I’ve heard of some wild cruise ship activities, but throw the chair at the guy with the automatic takes the cake.

I think Aussies with chairs are probably more dangerous than pirates with AK47s.

Gee, I hope they didn't hurt the poor pirates with their chair..Better call the ACLU...wouldn't want the pirates to get an ouchie.

They’re dangerous... we need chair control......should have to have license to buy a chair.....
To: naturalman1975
We should try this
I'm quite sure that us Freepers would be welcome aboard too.
And yes, it would have quad mounts on it!

I’m thinking there’s an opportunity to sell “pirate cruises” off Somalia - instead of skeet shooting off the fantail, they hand you your choice of ordinance, with no bag limit, when the bad guys approach.

We used snipers, Aussies used chairs...
It works for me!

Sure. Mess with the Aussies. That'll work.
Welcome to the real world, little boys. My advice is to kidnap somebody who won't eat you. Learn your flags, little boys. Learn them well. Stick to herbivores is my advice. The meat-eaters, well...
