From my point of view, this proves in a quantitative way that there is indeed a liberal bias. In any other industry, the competitor that had overwhelming market share, in this case FNC, would be imitated. The competitors certainly wouldn't being going in the exact opposite direction of the market share leader.
But, in the television news business, that's exactly what's happened the last 8 years. While FNC has continued to dominate, there's not one single channel that's attempted to emulate or mimic FNC's programming format. It's completely counter to every principle of business.
