Here are some pictures of the Fort Worth Tea Party at LaGrave Field. Pretty good turnout for hardly any advertising. I am not that good at estimating crowds, but I would say at least a 1000 or more people?
We even left a little early and people were still showing up.
The crowd was cheering and enthusiastic, well behaved and orderly.
Not much, if any sign of the media, besides what appeared to be a news helicopter flying overhead, but I am not sure.
Even Governor Rick Perry showed up...
Yours truly, trying to look patriotic...
Thanks! I love your tagline.
Thank you Mam!
Thank you!
I was at LaGrave field as well. I just looked it up on Wikipedia and they list 4100 as the seating capacity in 2002. I would say all of the seats except for a few in the outfield were filled. But people were standing four and five deep down both base lines behind the seats. Also a lot of people came and left at different times. We had at least five thousand and probably between six and seven thousand total. The crowd was very friendly, lots of good signs. I would have liked it more if we were someplace where we could actually interact with the public (protesting on a street corner). It was interesting to see Governor Perry there he sometimes acts like a RINO but now that Kay Baily is running against him he has moved hard right. He is making the right noises but we will have to see how long he sticks to it.
