I don’t think anyone forced octomom to have IVF treatments.

Nope. They just did that to her for free, knowing she can’t pay or provide.
China has had the one child law for several decades. How does the population continue to grow if two people have one child? The numbers don’t add up.
My favorite “China has so many people” trivia:
If you took all the people in China and laid them end to end around the world, 70% of them would drown.
When two people have one child they don’t immediately die.
The demographic is aging (look up a chart for the numbers of members of various age groups in China).
Octomom is infinitely preferable to this.
However, the minority districts and their populations in China have NO restrictions.
I don’t see what the big deal is... One kid, that’s the law.
And a horrible law it is.
It’s preferable to Obama’s method of sterilization after the baby’s already been born.

We have worse laws in the United States. Like... The mother can kill the child for whatever reason. Life is sacred, fertility is not.
Frankly, there are women here that should not be allowed to reproduce and should be sterilized. IMO

From the information I am getting...the one child system is going south..because custom is:
#1..that a family desires a son first,after he marrys he moves in w/bride and takes care of Mom&Dad &wife,and her mom & dad too.
#2..if a girl is born first,she’s aborted or adopted out(explaining desire for a breadwinner in #1)
Chinese in rural areas don’t always abide by 1 child law because they need the farm help and they love their children.And social workers don’t stop by that much,some have as many as 7 to 8 children.
But China is getting worried that their population has declined and the males complain they can not find a wife,and don’t have a big choice in brides.Many don’t marry til 40yrs old or never..therefore no babies.
Some women that are not afraid,like (the story) may have 1 or 2 children but eventually get caught the second time and hospitals fix them automatically after the #2 birth.(In cities).
My girlfriend(lives in US now)has 2.For the second pregnantcy she quit her job at the hospital and laid low...going out very early to the park for recreation and coming home late in evening so she wouldn’t be seen.
Heck-of-a-way to live, huh?
