I still support any Republican nominee over any Democratic nominee. But Romney is definitely less conservative than Bush, and far less conservative that he portrayed himself to be on the campaign trail. If it’s a choice between him and Palin or Jindal, I would reject him in favor of the alternatives.

GOP establishment types (like Romney) have not surprisingly misinterpreted the '08 election results to mean that the party needs to move even further to the left than they already are if they intend to contend in future elections.

The guy had tons of money, (belated) establishment support, and he still couldn’t beat McCain. Hell, he couldn’t even Huckabee. Global warming lunatic Mark Hussein Sanford has a better chance.

“”Romney believes that one way to attract more minorities to the GOP is to pass immigration reform before the next election, saying the issue becomes demagogued by both parties on the campaign trail.” The article also quotes Romney as saying, “We have a natural affinity with Hispanic-American voters, Asian-American voters.”
What a pathetic, opportunistic POS Romney has revealed himself to be.

How Romney gets beyond the flip-flop-flips of his multiple-choice positions on immigration and other issues is a mystery only he can solve.
Mystery? What's so mysterious about treason and cowardice?

I voted for him against Juan McCain, but if he’s pulling out that old “conservative Hispanic” chestnut that worked out so well for the GOP last election, well...he’d better go back to Bain and forget about politics. Illegal aliens will latch on to the public tit at the first opportunity. Anybody who doubts that is either insane or dishonest. Mitt must have gone over to Juan’s and had some margarita Kool-Aid.

So when this guy claimed to be a born again conservative over night right when he decided to run for the GOP nomination and many of us didn’t believe it we were told it was because we hated Mormons. Surprise. We were right.
Is K-Lo still drooling over this guy?

This is misleading. Everyone here on free republic also supports immigration reform. Romney had an immigration reform plan last election that could have been written by free republic. There is nothing in this story to suggest he has changed that plan.

Mitt Romney is indirectly helping to take himself out of the serious running for ‘12 GOP POTUS! Many conservatives will make sure that “everything leftist” is seriously not forgotten, prior to the next general elections in ‘10, ‘12, and beyond! There are plenty of very angry and very upset conservatives and other non-leftists, who are very concerned about the direction that the entire U.S. is presently heading on all of the issues.

Romney disappoints again! I want the GOP to have his money, but he has morphed into McCain and has no conservative principles.
