“The extent of injuries to the crew is unknown”
I’m thinking they’re probably toast.

This actually happened about 6 weeks ago, IIRC. I saw some pictures of the totaled aircraft. I believe the story is true. I also believe that the arab crew is not really enjoying life at the moment.

The Abu Dhabi Aircraft Technology crew had no idea that this is a safety feature so that pilots can't land with the brakes on. Yeah. Like they care about learning to land...

This was because coverage of the story was deemed insulting to Muslim Arabs.
WTF?
Insulting to a ship of fools, The good news is they weren't in the air when they were "stuck on stupid"
Now every one of these will come with a lawyers warning, when doing a power up test,
DO NOT RELEASE BRAKE WHILE DOING A FULL POWER TEST!

This took place a few years ago and was suppressed so as not to sully the honor of Muslims and Muslim pilots. Yes the Muslim pilots (morons) trashed an airplane worth hundreds of millions of dollars

Of course, there is no excuse for the crew running this test without proper training. You don’t just run an airliner on full power on a whim.
But the fact that the aircraft would release the brakes without a command from the pilot is also disturbing.

funny/tragic, but the A-380 is “ the largest passenger airplane ever built “
not the A340-600

This brand spanking new Airbus 340-600, the largest passenger airplane ever built, sits just outside it's hangar in Toulouse, France , without a single hour of airtime on the clock....This is not the largest passenger aircraft - the Boeing 747 and the Airbus A380 are bigger.

I'm certain that the NTSB guys are relieved that they don't have to investigate this one:
- It's a French built airplane.
- It's not a U. S. flagged airline.
- The accident occurred in France.
Even so, the conclusions would be simple - RTM (Read The Manual).
The flight crew should be BANNED FOR LIFE. Is there anyone out there who would like to have any of them on a future flight crew?
