The Obama Justice Dept. drops charges against a Republican Senator originally filed by the Bush Justice Dept....? Something weird here.
Everyone has to learn how to connect the dots! It is a mistake to presume the the DOJ was “Bush’s”. Bush only chose the people at the top. Remember that Bush had already been “put on notice” with all the press from his firing a few U.S. Attorney’s. If he had stepped in to protect Stevens he would have been accused of political meddling.
Does anyone know if the U.S. Attorney involved had even been a Bush appointee, or were they a holdover from Clinton?
