Even though this bill failed to pass in 2007, with Obama as president and even more Democrats in charge of Congress, this bill will most likely pass now and get the millions allocated for it. The ball will then start rolling, unless enough people find out about it.

They should call this H.R. 40: The Rev. Wright Act

Wrong. Until the claimant can specifically prove beyond the shadow of a doubt that (1) s/he served as a slave and that (2) the payer (i.e. you and me) specifically owned slaves, there is no legitimate claim. Game over.

I think there should be reparations. All living slave owners must be called to accounts and pay the people who were enslaved under them. Every living freed slave should get a sizeable check. ... Oh, wait! The democrat party has enslaved blacks to social welfare checks and entitlement programs. So, that won’t work will it! The democraps just send money out with federal IOU’s backing them up. Nothing is getting paid as it is!

How should I be responsible for reparations done by none of my ancestors? My grandparents moved from Germany to the US circa 1920. They, and by extension all of their progeny going forward, have zippo to do with this.

I hope it passes and here is my reasoning. Pass the bill with reparations for slavery and let buckwheat sign it. There will be a backlash never seen before. There will be politicians swinging from every lamp post in Washington and blood will run in the streets of the nation. Someone needs to take out the trash and this just might be the means to get it to the curb...........red
