The auto bailouts are so that the UAW survives. Plain and simple. There is no concern about the business end. To that end, our money will be given to GM indefinately.
Well, I think that’s right. We’re not bailing out automakers. Who cares about making cars?? We’re bailing out union pension plans. After all, unions make things that are vital to the future — unions produce votes.
An interesting twist would be to have the BoDir of GM vote in Opossum as CEO.
I agree but at the same time, banks can force changes in management. GM erred by making the Federal Gov’t, be it Bush or Obama, their bank.
