I understand there is a new anti-freeper site started by disgruntled former and present Mormon FReepers and it is their intention of bankrupting FR during the coming Freepathon by withholding their donations and disrupting our activities. Well, all I can say is, if they feel that badly against FR, by all means they should withhold their donations and drop out of FR. But it they attempt to disrupt our operations I will guarantee they will no longer be members of FR. If that is their wish, so be it.
I'm not going to try to defend FR from their claims of religious persecution, but I will say that Mormons have and always have had free reign to post their threads on FR just as all other religious groups have enjoyed. Free Republic defends the right to freedom of religion and has always welcomed religious discussion and always will. And Mormons have always been welcome here. I have absolutely nothing against Mormons.
If you are one who has left or is leaving, I wish you well, but disruption of FR is not welcome and will not be tolerated.
And this is not the first time such activity has been attempted by groups of disgruntled former FReepers. Good luck with that. There is always some group that feels FR should be bent to their way of thinking and end up saying my way or the highway. Well, I don't know about you, but I'm not changing so I guess it's the highway. Is it Feb 8 yet?

When I was Prebyterian in the 60’s some would wear Orange on St Paddy day in Michigan!
It was well known even among the protestants denominations there was those who thought they better than the others.
I lived throuh it you were Mormon in those day in Utah you did not live through this in Midwest America!

I have had and still do have these clashes with those who do not want to look for the good in each other and always on mean and hatefull, which the Lord makes it clear when one is acting this way ye are not One of His!

It is they who question which Jesus we worship, it seems they pick and choose verses of the scriptures to accept!

This is a very confused lot I pray they will do as the Lord commands all His Children to Love One Another!

I stopped getting on and reading any Romney and Mormon threads, as they always degenerated into some hateful screed against Mormons and/or Mitt by a select group of Freepers who got off on it bigtime. Was coloring my opinion of certain Freepers with what amounted to total disgust and dislike. So I got off those threads, and won’t read them anymore. And I have found myself posting and freeping less now. Hope the bad taste in my mouth goes away soon. I don’t want to judge the conservative cause here because of a few loose cannon of a decidedly nasty bent. And now I’m getting off this thread too because it is bringing that bad taste back. Think I’ll go gargle.

One does not have to be perfect but one should be striving to be ready to receive the words of the Lord it is the Lord who says these things in his scriopture which apply to all of His children...
