The reason we should care about her politics is because she has developed a large fan base/influence among the under 25's who are looking for a young face of the GOP. This just keeps the civil war going and gives the left a bat to beat us with. She could have decided to work with Michael Steele but she chose a liberal site. She could have come out as a libertarian but she's calling herself a "progressive republican" (showing complete ignorance of the term "progressive"). If she wants to be a liberal then go be a liberal so conservatives don't have to pretend to care about her opinions. It's completely divisive because of who her father is, at a time when Republicans sans The Traitorous Three are presenting a united front.

She went looking for a fight when she criticized Ann Coulter. She was in the media spotlight for two years during the campaign. She knew exactly what would happen when she took on Coulter. She wanted the attention and she got it. Talk Radio is supposed to be nice to her because she's a cute blonde? Coulter didn't respond because it would be like the teacher slapping down a kindergartner.
