I do believe the DU, KOS and an organized group are trying to draw out radicals and incite riotous talk or talk of the nature that would gather interest from the acronyms.

That is evident.

Look what happened to Vermont.

People just kept backing up and backing up. A once conservative state is now a socialist pit. Drive around in Northern Vermont and see the houses up there with faded handpainted “Take Back Vermont” messages on the sides of their houses.

That didn’t work well for them.

Yeah you are right. I went to college at UNH in Durham, should have known to not leave them out. The college is as bad as the rest.

“chia hair”...rofl. I love it. Praise God some are standing up in the face of huge numbers that oppose us, and it’s true the press isn’t covering anything well, and not many tea parties are being covered properly, it’s what Obama is so snug about because the press is doing his bidding. I didn’t watch all of this but it sounds like far left is trying to take away freedom of speech here, and we need to refer to those idiots as “the intolerants.”

The Ripley Report had cops turned on them by a mysterious group.

Vermont went cool ‘cheese monkey’ hippy long ago ... About the time I left the whole place for lost.

Did have plenty of good ski trips there, they have some of the best New England snow up around Brattleboro and beyond.

But afraid I can only take the people for a few weeks a year now. Wife always wants to go to Boston to shop, why I have no idea.

Actually, it was in Lexington. In April. And I agree with you 100%!!!

The first shots of April 19th, 1775, where indeed fired in Lexington, but those served to disperse the Lexington militia. (They were greatly outnumbered, and went on to give a very good account of themselves later in the day.) But the shot(s) heard round the world were at the North Bridge in Concord, where the Americans put the British Regulars to flight. And flee they did, all the way back to Boston, with militia, including the Lexington militia, picking them off at every corner and from behind every rock. (I have a favorite rock along the reconstructed "Battle Road". When I stood there I felt transported back to that day. I could almost see the Lobsterbacks moving back down the road, and imagine taking a pot shot from behind that big rock. :) )

If not for General Percy bringing up a couple of small cannon, and the carriages of the Americans' cannon having been destroyed at Concord (The cannons themselves were hidden and took part in the revolution), likely not a single regular would have escaped death or capture. As it was, plenty of them died anyway.

Ummm ... Isn’t New Hampshire an “open carry” state? Good on them for exercising their 2nd Amendment rights during this event. But, let’s not focus on the guns. The important news is that they’ve had enough and are showing it broadly.

CONCORD HYMN

By the rude bridge that arched the flood,
Their flag to April’s breeze unfurled,
Here once the embattled farmers stood,
And fired the shot heard round the world.

The foe long since in silence slept;
Alike the conqueror silent sleeps;
And Time the ruined bridge has swept
Down the dim stream that seaward creeps.

On this green bank, by this soft stream,
We set today a votive stone;
That memory may their deeds redeem,
When, like our sires, our sons are gone.

Spirit, that made those heroes dare,
To die, and leave their children free,
Bid Time and nature gently spare
The shaft we raise to them and thee.

—RALPH WALDO EMERSON

In the last 24 hours there has been a concerted effort to slam FR with horror stories, events supposedly happening and played up possible events by a slew of new posters.

Dada Orwell has been here longer than I have (joined up in 2002).

You wouldn't have a list of some of these new posters you're referring to would you?

That might be a useful bit of data to have.

Next time take pitchforks. This reminds us that once America was a nation of free men not pantywaists and Metrosexuals.
The time may come for the reformation of the nation.
